The collaboration between the two Bs—Bentley and Breitling—is a well-documented and long-standing partnership between a great automotive marque and a crafter of fine timepieces. But this 2016 Bentley Continental GT Speed Coupe Breitling Jet Team Series Limited Edition takes that collaboration to the skies. This car is just one of seven made; an ultra-limited run of cars that were inspired by one of each seven Breitling jets. The customization was done in-house, by Bentley’s Mulliner division, who customized both the interior and exterior of this Bentley Continental GT. This is car #3 of seven, and includes numbered doorsills.
Exterior and Interior
The exterior of this Bentley Continental GT has been reimagined with a custom two-tone paint job of “Hallmark” and “Onyx”, with highlights matching the exact yellow Pantone used by Breitling. This distinctive look is evocative of the L-39 Albatros jets used by the Breitling Team. The interior continues this trend, with unique sculpted seats that also feature Breitling-yellow accents. The carbon fiber fascia that adorns the dashboard features the jets in their signature flying formation, and has the corresponding jet that this car is based on highlighted in yellow.
Engine
Under the hood of this unique Mulliner-customized Bentley Continental GT lies their signature engine: a 6-liter W12 with 626 horsepower, and 605 lb-ft of torque. Being a GT Speed Coupe, in addition to the increased power, this car rides on lower suspension. Power is transmitted through an eight-speed gearbox.
