A British design and engineering symbol, the Bentley Continental GT sports the timeless lines of a modern sports Coupe. The Continental GT was the brand’s first luxury car from a mass assembly line and packed the most potent Bentley engine ever crammed in a road car. Later editions featured a more accessible 4.0L V8 Twin Turbo—almost as potent with far more practical power use. This “Moonbeam Silver” 2013 Bentley Continental GT has just 8700 miles on the clock and promises to be one of the lowest mileage examples on offer for sale today. While every Bentley Continental GT is special, our subject car has the distinction of having some very choice additions made to it from the factory.
Exterior and Interior
Inside this Bentley Continental GT is a “Newmarket Tan” interior, named after the world-famous British horse-racing track. As to be expected, the leather inside is of the highest quality, complemented by Australian-sourced Dark Fiddleback Eucalyptus wood veneer. The wood paneling is a unique option of our subject car’s Touring specification, which includes veneer door inserts and a veneer rear armrest. The front seats are both ventilated as well as massaging, keeping you refreshed on long journeys. Each chair features an embroidered Bentley logo, while deep-pile over mats, both front, and rear, add an extra touch of luxury to the cabin. The three-spoke steering wheel is trimmed in a single-tone hide and is heated for those colder months. This 2013 Bentley Continental GT also features the luxury of a reverse camera to aid in parking. This observation prompted him to special-request the Crewe manufacturer to produce a high-quality item. Rather than offer it as a one-off, Bentley decided to incorporate this new filler cap into their options list.
Engine
Under the hood Bentley’s 4.0-liter V8 engine. Assisted with two turbos strapped to it, the Continental GT makes 500 hp and 487 lb-ft of torque. Power is sent via an automatic gearbox with eight speeds. Although Bentley rarely boasts of their performance figures, the twin-turbo V8 is enough to propel the Continental GT to 60mph in under five seconds, and on to a top speed of 80mph.
Created to honor Bentley’s storied success at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, this 2013 Bentley Continental GT W12 Le Mans Edition is a particularly special example of the marque’s grand touring coupe. This car is number 9 of just 48 examples produced in this configuration and shows approximately 41,360 miles. Showing just 278 miles, this example is finished in Glacier White over a Beluga/Hotspur interior with a Black convertible soft top. Its configuration is especially striking, combining the Continental Blackline Specification, 22-inch Speed Black Painted Wheels, red painted brake calipers, High Gloss Carbon Fiber veneer, and a richly tailored cabin. A ceramic coating has also been applied, adding a layer of protection to the exterior finish.
