The Mercedes-Benz E-class is an established German stalwart in the mid-sized sedan segment (known as executive cars). It’s a direct competitor of the BMW 5-series and Audi A6. The E-class has its roots all the way back to 1953 with the Mercedes-Benz W120, but it was only in 1993, when the fourth generation W124 gained a facelift that it became the E-class. Ever since, the E-class has been a favorite among those who seek laid-back German luxury with a comfortable and relaxing touch. The fourth generation was produced between 2010 and 2017 as a sedan, wagon, coupe, and convertible. This is a fourth generation 2012 Mercedes-Benz E550 Cabriolet from New York with 42,000 miles on the odometer.

Designed by Winifredo Camacho, this generation of E-class moved away from the curvy styling of the previous, in favor of angular design language. The signature quad headlamps are retained and LED daytime running lamps complement them. A sleek side profile culminates in a similarly angular rear. This 2012 Mercedes-Benz E550 Cabriolet wears a black paintwork with black convertible top, and rolls on a set of black AMG 18” double-spoke alloy wheels. It’s also got an AMG front spoiler and side skirts. It’s also got the AMG Sports Package, Light Package and Dynamic Vehicle Package. The interior is a beige leather and wood trim combination, and seats four adults. Electric memory seats with front seat climate control, navigation, premium sound system and dual-zone climate control with AC cooling power package are a part of the creature comforts on offer.

The fourth generation of E-Class came with a broad range of gasoline and diesel engines with various power outputs, although not all were offered in the USA. This particular Mercedes-Benz E550 Cabriolet comes with a twin-turbocharged 4.7L (284ci) V8 engine that puts out a healthy 402hp between 5,000 and 5,750rpm, complemented by a maximum torque figure of 443 lb ft between 1,600 and 4,750rpm. Driving the rear wheels through a 7G-Tronic 7-speed automatic transmission, it’s enough for a sub-5 second sprint from rest to sixty and is electronically limited at 155mph, making it a cruiser that packs a punch when the mood strikes.

The Mercedes-Benz E-Class nameplate is most popularly seen upon the company’s four-door midsize luxury sedan offering, and has been the case for decades. But did you know that Mercedes-Benz also offers coupe and convertible choices? These have sometimes been marketed under different model designations. The first of the E-Class badged coupes and convertibles came about in 2010, with the C207 and A207. These took over from the Mercedes-Benz CLK. The series got a facelift for the 2013 model year, and this 2014 Mercedes-Benz E550 Convertible is a prime example of a post-facelift car. With 41,000 miles and all servicing up to date, it’s a fine boulevard cruiser and can easily serve as your daily driver, too.

Over 300,000 were made between 1971 and 1989, of which two thirds came to North America. The R107 redefined the term boulevard cruiser, with its performance, luxury interior and driving manners over long distances. If that sounds like your cup of tea, we have this 1989 Mercedes-Benz 560SL for sale right now. It’s from Scottsdale, Arizona, and has covered just over 71,000 miles so far. The Mercedes-Benz G-Class stands in stark contrast to the rest of this iconic German luxury car maker’s offerings. Its boxy, prominent, and can venture off-road with gusto. Introduced in 1979 as a military machine on the request of the Shah of Iran, civilian variants emerged in 1979. Since then, the G-Class has gained the typical Mercedes-Benz luxury features and technological highlights, but maintains its immense off-road capabilities. This 2019 Mercedes-Benz G550 is one fine example and it’s up for sale in Salt Lake City, Utah. With 94,604 miles on it, you can tell that it’s meant to be driven. Plus, given its off-road abilities, this is the perfect family vehicle for the outdoors-loving crowd.
