



The inherent dignity, grace and beauty that became a hallmark of Cadillac styling in the past took a giant leap forward for 1959. There is, for example, all of the impressive stature, which only a motor car of adequate length and wheelbase can offer. There's the appearance of solid enduring beauty from every angle and an unmistakable mantle of quality which marked Cadillac at the time as the standard of the world. There were 13 models offered by Cadillac in ‘59 including a variety of sedans and coupes a couple of convertibles and even a limousine. These models, including the Series 62 are remembered for their iconic huge tailfins with dual bullet taillights. Up for sale here is a staggering example of a 1959 Cadillac Series 62 Coupe showing 47,500 original miles on its clock.

The Series 62's received a toothier grille, a dummy grille across the tail, bright window surrounds, and a trim spear along the side. Most famously, a gargantuan fin topped each rear fender, with taillights on each side. The 62s also had rear fender skirts. This beautifully designed body of our subject 1959 Cadillac Series 62 wears blue paint and, according to its current owner, the front end is newly refurbished. The car is topped with a white roof giving it a vintage look. Moreover, it rides on a set of wire wheels wrapped in period white wall tires further solidifying its appearance. Its suspension system is composed of new coil springs, sway bars, tie rods, and ball joints. As you step into the vehicle, a new interior awaits you with refurbished seats, carpets, and other interior trim. The OEM radio is newly fitted as well. The vintage dash with horizontal gauges remains true to its age while a white RPM gauge is fitted below the large steering wheel that utilizes a new steering box.

Under the hood of this 1959 Cadillac Series 62 resides its 390ci V8 engine that is married to the original 3-speed automatic transmission. This powerhouse is able to generate 345 horsepower and 404 ft-lbs of torque. New front disc brakes are fitted to ensure worry-free stopping capability.
