The Austin-Healey 3000 is one of the larger examples of a quintessential '60s British sports car. Made between 1959 and 1967, it came with a larger engine and an overall more spacious interior. Hence, if you’re searching for a British roadster that’s more spacious than the stereotype, pick this 1961 Austin-Healey 3000 BN7 from our carefully curated inventory. Bearing a mere 15,000 miles on the odometer, this car has reportedly been fully restored, which is why it looks amazing. And let us tell you a little secret; it reportedly goes as well as it looks!
British sports cars look best in bright paint hues, such as the red suit sported by this 1961 Austin-Healey 3000 BN7. The car’s beautiful wire wheels, chrome grille and bumpers, and podded headlamps all add up to something that will turn heads even if you park it next to the latest European supercars in a swish hotel lobby. The black convertible top of the car is functional, but the car’s styling is designed to look its best when the top is down. This 1961 Austin-Healey 3000 BN7 is a two-seat roadster with black leather upholstered, low-back seats. You’ve also got a sporty steering wheel, a full gauge pack, and…well, that’s it, really. But that’s why this car is so enticing. You see, it’s a digital detox package. When you’re behind the wheel, you’re in complete control. There are no electronics to dull the experience, or myriad digital screens to distract you from the raw, visceral thrill of driving a mechanical machine down your favorite road. Even the side windows are manually actuated. You won’t even get a radio or any smartphone charging facilities. But if you want to pack some luggage, such as a change of clothes, there’s a decently-sized trunk that can accept a couple of soft bags.
As the name suggests, this 1961 Austin-Healey 3000 BN7 comes with a 2.9L engine. It’s a beautifully smooth in-line six with twin carburetors, powering the rear wheels through a manual gearbox for pure driving nirvana. So, if you choose this car as your weekend companion, nobody can blame you for finding every opportunity to take it for a drive.

The ‘Big Healey’ as it’s known, the Austin-Healey 3000 is the largest of the diminutive sports car line-up from British manufacturer Austin-Healey. A name no longer seen, as is the fate of many small British sports car makers, the 3000 packed, as you may guess, a nearly 3.0-liter engine, and the quintessential open-top motoring experience. This 1967 Austin-Healey 3000 BJ8 Mk-III comes to you with authenticity documentation, and just 68,490 miles on it.
Austin-Healey was a British automaker established through a partnership with the Austin Motor Company, and Donald Healey Motor Company. This outfit produced quintessential British sports cars in the 1950s and 1960s. Whilst many Austin-Healey models such as the Sprite were dinky little things, the Austin-Healey 3000 was known as the ‘Big Healy’, as it was much larger and more suited for markets such as the US. Produced from 1959 to 1967, the ‘Big Healey’ could be had as a roadster or convertible. What we’ve got here is one of these British gems, a 1965 Austin-Healey 3000 BJ8 Mk III from Rhode Island with just 54,200 miles under its skin, with a BMIHT certificate to boot. Only 17,712 Mk IIIs were manufactured.
Do you want a muscle car experience in a compact car body? That’s what Plymouth aimed to provide, with the Duster. Made between 1969 and 1976, the Duster was their two-door coupe in the compact car segment. However, Plymouth still endowed it with V8s of varying capacities, ensuring that buyers didn’t get the typically pedestrian performance that came with compact cars. If you’re interested in getting your hands on a Duster, check out this 1970 Plymouth Duster Restomod that’s for sale right now. The car has been completely restored and rocks some neat modern features.
Triumph was a well-known British sports car maker for decades. The cars were made by the Standard Motor Company of Coventry, and they offered enthusiastic buyers the typical British roadster experience of the wind in your hair and a pert little sports car to hustle around country roads. Naturally, Americans would get to experience these cars too, as evidenced by this 1962 Triumph TR3A that’s for sale right now. The car reportedly underwent a frame-off restoration in 2015, making it nice and fresh for its new owner to enjoy.
The iconic AC/Shelby Cobra is one of the most sought-after British-American sports cars in the world. The result of a collaboration between Carroll Shelby and British firm AC Cars, the Cobra saw less than 1,000 examples built in total. Today, genuine AC Cars/Shelby Cobras fetch millions of dollars, which is why you’ll be grateful to know that there are plenty of replicas. Massachusetts-based Factory Five Racing is one such firm which has made some Cobra replicas, such as this 1965 Ford Cobra by Factory Five Racing that’s now for sale. Bearing just 32,735 miles on the clock, here’s your chance to own as close to an original Cobra as possible – right down to the Ford V8 that makes it go!
