Chevrolet’s Chevelle was introduced in 1964, at a time when the Big Three (Ford, General Motors and Chrysler Corporation) were going through a period of change, releasing new models across multiple segments. Smaller automobiles were taking over from the large, full-sizers of the Fifties. The Chevelle was Chevrolet’s contender and came in a wide variety of body styles, from two door coupes and convertibles, through two and four door sedans, all the way to two and four door station wagons. Truly versatile, there was even a hot version called the Super Sport, or SS. 1968 saw the second generation emerge, and this Florida-based 1968 Chevrolet Chevelle SS Clone pays homage to the legendary Super Sport. With just 85,900 miles, and having undergone a full frame-off restoration, it’s a worthy classic to consider.
Exterior and Interior
This second-generation 1968 Chevrolet Chevelle SS Clone sports the two door coupe body style, and wears a Fathom Blue paint job, punctuated by a white stripe. It’s received new front and rear bumpers during the restoration, and rides on SS Magnum wheels wearing Cooper Cobra Radial G/T rubber. The interior features black vinyl theme and offers comfortable accommodation for four occupants, with front bucket seats and a rear bench seat. The seller reports that the vintage AC blows ice cold, and the vintage radio is functional as well, as it’s actually a retro-styled modern unit with AUX connectivity on offer for modern tunes.
Engine
Chevrolet offered a range of powerplants that was basically as wide as the range of body styles. The second generation came with no less than ten engine options, from a 230ci in-line six to a 454ci big-block V8 at the top end. This 1968 Chevrolet Chevelle SS Clone is powered by a 327ci small-block V8 with a mild cam, Edelbrock 4-barrel carburetor and sings its characteristic V8 rumble through dual exhausts with Flowmasters. An automatic transmission sends power to the rear wheels, and this freshly restored Chevelle also sports power steering and power brakes via a front disc and rear drum set-up.
The Chevrolet Chevelle remains one of the defining muscle cars of the late 1960s, combining clean styling, V8 performance, and endless aftermarket support. This 1969 Chevrolet Chevelle Malibu Sport Coupe shows 90,011 miles and presents in striking LeMans Blue over a black vinyl interior. Featuring a 402ci big-block V8, TH400 automatic transmission, and classic rear-wheel-drive layout, this Chevelle delivers the driving experience that made Chevrolet’s midsize performance cars legendary. Enhanced by SS-inspired styling cues, a custom paint job, and tasteful performance upgrades, this Malibu offers the look and presence of a classic American muscle car while retaining the timeless appeal that continues to attract enthusiasts more than five decades later.
Few American cars capture the spirit of late-1960s cruising quite like the Chevrolet Chevelle Malibu Convertible. Combining timeless styling, V8 power, and top-down enjoyment, the 1969 model year remains one of the most sought-after generations of Chevrolet’s iconic intermediate platform. Showing 68,843 miles, this example is finished in eye-catching Tahoe Turquoise Metallic and features a white leather interior and matching white convertible top. Equipped with a 350ci V8, automatic transmission, power-assisted driving features, and modern comfort upgrades, this Malibu Convertible offers the ideal blend of classic muscle-era charm and enjoyable road manners.
The 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS represents the pinnacle of Chevrolet’s muscle car dominance, and this example stands out with its factory-correct LS5 454ci big-block V8 and desirable Tricentennial Gold finish. Showing just 29,166 miles, this Chevelle blends authenticity, performance, and collectibility in one striking package. Equipped with the SS 396 Equipment Package—standard for SS models despite the larger 454 engine—this car delivers the aggressive styling and performance pedigree that made the 1970 model year legendary. With its iconic stance and proven big-block power, this Chevelle embodies the golden era of American muscle.
The sixth-generation Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 was already one of the most capable American performance cars of its era, but Hennessey Performance Engineering took things to an entirely different level with the EXORCIST package. Created specifically to challenge the Dodge Demon for supercar supremacy, the EXORCIST transforms the Camaro ZL1 into a four-figure horsepower monster capable of breathtaking acceleration and a claimed top speed of 217 mph. Showing just 4,677 miles, this 2017 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 Hennessey EXORCIST is finished in Hyper Blue Metallic and equipped with a desirable 6-speed manual transmission. Combining factory ZL1 refinement with Hennessey’s extensive engine modifications and documented performance credentials, this low-mileage example represents one of the most extreme and collectible modern muscle cars available today.
The Chevrolet Nova has long been one of the most popular platforms in the American muscle car world thanks to its lightweight construction, straightforward engineering, and ability to accommodate big-block power. Showing approximately 82,642 miles, this 1969 Chevrolet Nova Coupe is powered by a 454ci V8 paired with a desirable 4-speed manual transmission, delivering the raw driving experience that made American muscle cars legendary. Finished in red with black rally stripes, this Nova combines classic styling with practical upgrades including a Hurst Competition Plus shifter, LED dash lighting conversion, upgraded wiring harness, power brakes with an auxiliary vacuum pump, and improved cooling components. The current owner also reports that the vehicle is wired for FM radio and notes that additional engine and miscellaneous parts are available separately for an additional $25,000.
The 1984 Chevrolet Corvette marked the beginning of the revolutionary C4 generation, introducing an all-new platform that significantly advanced the Corvette’s handling, technology, and overall performance. After skipping the 1983 model year for production, Chevrolet launched the C4 with a sharper, more aerodynamic design and a thoroughly modern chassis that set a new benchmark for American sports cars. This 1984 Chevrolet Corvette Coupe shows 49,304 miles and is finished in Bright Red over a Bronze interior. Retaining its factory L83 Cross-Fire Injection V8 and featuring desirable amenities such as a removable targa roof panel, Bose audio system, and electronic climate control, this Corvette represents an important chapter in the evolution of America’s sports car. For enthusiasts seeking an early C4 with period-correct styling and technology, this example offers a compelling blend of collectability and drivability.
