So much so that the Vette is now part of pop culture with its presence in multiple movies, series and etc. Currently known as one of the best pony cars to lay your hands on, the Corvette has inspired many an enthusiast’s dream to own one. The Corvette has not escaped the eyes of collectors also, as rare models fetch a handsome sum. Our subject vehicle is a 1973 Chevrolet Corvette from sunny Florida with a clean Florida title, and although the actual mileage is unknown the odometer shows a total of 7,608 miles.

The third generation of the Corvette was produced from 1967 to 1982 and was known as the Stingray until 1976. This 1973 Chevrolet Corvette is bedecked in a lustrous red color which was repainted recently. The shows of this car are a set of new vintage wheels with new BF Goodrich A/T rubber. It’s also got pop-up headlamps which were a Corvette mainstay until the sixth generation, and a desirable feature to boot! The interior features black vinyl with a wood trim on the doors. The center console contains a cluster of five gauges with a Bosch RPM meter situated below the steering wheel and to the left. The steering wheel is a classic three-spoke affair with the Corvette logo smack in the middle. All the exterior chrome parts are polished to a mirror shine and all relevant badges are in place. Reportedly the headlights and the wipers are functioning. The stereo system has been updated with a stereo from Retro Sound, which has an inbuilt iPhone input as well. A little plaque lives near the gear shifter that states the car’s 350ci engine, 270 lb.ft of torque and the 8.5:1 compression ratio, along with the Chevrolet twin flags.

This 1973 Chevrolet Corvette is powered by the 350ci (5.7L V8) motor. This motor is mated to a 3-speed automatic Turbo-Hydramatic automatic transmission, which enables it to produce 190hp of power and 270 lb.ft of torque. While grip is enhanced by the BF Goodrich tires, stopping power is courtesy of the four-wheel disc brake system. Suspension is a fully independent setup.

This 1974 Chevrolet Corvette Coupe, in all its orange glory, comes from an era of resilience. The C3 or third-gen ‘Vette is the longest-running of them all, with a fourteen-year production run between 1968 and 1982. Cars like this one are historically significant because they weathered the most dreaded time in American auto history; the Malaise Era. Even during those times, the Corvette was still the fastest American car available. Now, you can see why, when you take a closer look at this 24,000-mile machine from Island Lake, Illinois. It’s a survivor, a stunning looker, and above all, never compromised on engines by always having a V8 beneath the hood. So why not buy this beautiful boulevard cruiser and stick it to today’s soulless EVs?
