If you remember the movie Corvette Summer, where young Ken goes on a wild chase to Las Vegas to get his Corvette named Stingray, this car may be familiar to you. The subject “Stingray” in the movie is a heavily modified C3 Corvette that received a significant redesign from its predecessors. The C3, or the third generation of the sports car, was the second Corvette to carry the Stingray name. It was sketched by the skillful hands of Larry Shinoda, a renowned American automotive designer who was best known for his work on the Chevrolet Corvette and Ford Mustang. The 1974 Chevrolet Corvette you see here is now available for sale in Evesham, New Jersey. Although the car has done 76,721 miles overall, its current owner reports an upgraded engine and transmission that only has 1,500 miles on them.
Exterior and Interior
The Burgundy exterior of this 1974 Chevrolet Corvette beautifully highlights the smooth lines and curves inspired by the Mako Shark II design.
