The subject “Stingray” in the movie is a heavily modified C3 Corvette that received a significant redesign from its predecessors. The C3, or the third generation of the sports car, was the second Corvette to carry the Stingray name. It was sketched by the skillful hands of Larry Shinoda, a renowned American automotive designer who was best known for his work on the Chevrolet Corvette and Ford Mustang. The 1974 Chevrolet Corvette you see here is now available for sale in Evesham, New Jersey. Although the car has done 76,721 miles overall, its current owner reports an upgraded engine and transmission that only has 1,500 miles on them.
