The British four-wheel drive and off-road capable manufacturer Land Rover is one of those automobile manufacturers still holding up to its name and capabilities. It is a brand of Jaguar Land Rover and was introduced in 1948. Arguably the Land Rover Defender is the most well-known model of their lineup, the Defender dates back to 1983 when it was first introduced, and the Defender is the spiritual successor of the Land Rover Series. Up for grabs is a 1986 Land Rover Defender 110 restomod completed in 2021, with some tasty upgrades.
Starting off, this particular 1986 Land Rover Defender 110 was imported from Eastern Europe, as reported by the owner. Undoubtedly, the Land Rover Defender is a rugged vehicle; as such, it espouses its ruggedness in its build and design. Moreover, the owner has upgraded the SUV's exterior with an SV6 body kit, which sees the front grille replaced with a chrome and black painted grille. It is painted in a new two-tone black on matte black. The hood has been replaced with the beefier Puma variant hood, which comes with a large hood cowl. Hood vents in silver can be seen flanking the hood. The lower end of the Defender has the standard front bumper replaced with a more off-road type unit with integrated lights. The sides feature Wolfstorm tubular rock sliders/side steps finished in a textured black powder coat. As with the front, the rear features a heavy-duty powder-coated bumper. All the lights have been replaced with LED units, and the owner has added a roof LED lightbar. The new soft top is finished in black and comes with a carbon fiber pattern interior. The seller reports that the interior is entirely new and features black with orange contrast stitching. A new center console is installed onto the new OEM Puma dashboard. A new stereo system with Bluetooth capability has also been added, along with a new custom subwoofer system under the seats. Keeping the occupants cool is a new A/C unit.
Replacing the original powertrain in this 1986 Land Rover Defender 110 restomod is a Td5 engine from a 2002 Land Rover coupled with a new ZF automatic transmission. A new 4WD LT230 transfer case is also installed to meet any off-road challenge. The seller reports that new tires are in place, and an oil change was performed recently.

The majority of Range Rover owners purchase them not just for their robust off-road capabilities and cutting-edge technology but also for the value that the brand name brings to the table. It has always been one of the names we think of when we talk of ultra-luxury SUVs. Land Rover launched three special editions of the Range Rover for the 2021 model year. Namely, the Fifty Edition (which celebrates the 50th birthday of their flagship SUV), the Westminster Edition, and the Dynamic Black Edition. With this listing, we are talking about the well-equipped midrange model, the 2021 Range Rover HSE Westminster Edition. This sophisticated example is said only to have 31,200 miles on its odometer. Keep reading to find out about the luxuries this grand ride has to offer.
Luxury, off-road capability, on-road performance. No other vehicle really provides this combination like a Range Rover. The Range Rover has become the standard that all other luxury off-roaders are measured by, but creature comforts weren’t always a part of its DNA. The first-generation Range Rover was a basic, rugged off-roader, and the early models didn’t even have power steering. The seats were vinyl, and the dashboard was made of plastic to make it easier to clean, a world away from the modern interiors that come with leather, wood trim and electronics. Speed wasn’t a prime concern for the design team either, with the initial engine option being a Rover V8 (adapted from Buick), rated for 127hp in its most primitive form. But now, more than 4 decades later, the Range Rover is a very different animal.
