During the Sixties, the German luxury automobile manufacturer began acquiring a reputation as a leading manufacturer of sports-oriented cars. While BMW’s history dates back to 1916, their supercar-worthy BMW M division was only established in the Seventies with their first car released in 1978. One of the division's highly successful M lines is the BMW M3, the first of which was based on the second-generation BMW E30 3 Series. The E30 M3 was produced from 1986 to 1991 when it was succeeded by the E36 M3. The model was a super hit and remains one of the best sports cars of all time by Automobile Magazine. This sublime example of a 1990 BMW E30 M3 Coupe is one of only 5,330 ever made for the North American market, and has covered just 500 miles after a complete restoration. Owning this car would be a truly once-in-a-lifetime chance, and we urge you to act fast, since cars like this go like the proverbial hot cakes.

Part of the restoration included a repaint job finished in October 2021 and done in Anthracite by Auto City in San Francisco. Reportedly the car was bought brand new at Stevens Creek BMW. The M3s differentiation from the regular E30 includes a front body-colored splitter, a rear apron, and sill panels that were changed and made aerodynamically viable. The seller reports that the sunroof, rear spoiler, fog lights, and the factory body flares are all original. It sits on a set of original BMW 15” basketweave wheels done in silver with silver-colored brake calipers. The interior features a predominantly black color scheme with grey used for the cloth linings. The seller reports that the original black leather Recaro seats and rear bench have been redone to like new by Karliz Interiors, while new BMW M floor mats were added. The plain black BMW branded 4-spoke steering wheel looks inconspicuous due to its styling. The center-located transmission stick has a weighted M3 shift knob. Keeping the occupants cool is an AC system thoughtfully converted to use R134a refrigerant.

Powering this 1990 BMW M3 is a 2.35L displacement S14 inline-4 engine coupled to a 5-speed Getrag manual transmission with Limited Slip Differential and has been fluid serviced. On its own, this engine has fine racing pedigree in its DNA, based on the M/12/13 engine that powered the Brabham, Arrows, and Formula Benetton Formula 1 cars of the Eighties. The seller reports many upgrades done on the car including King XP P=max racing rod bearings, new connecting rod small end bushings, a magnafluxed crankshaft and micro-polished by Ed’s Crankshafts in Hayward CA, 11mm lift 270’ duration Elgin cams, cylinder head and ITB’s port matched and flowed 30mm venturi, radius valve job, combustion chamber polished valve/valve seats unshrouded, 95mm JE Pistons 10.3-1 compression, Dry film lubricant skirt, ceramic crown coating, an Evo lightweight flywheel, CSF aluminum radiator, new Behr heater core, a header back system built by DECCAT with a Stella muffler and the new exhaust is reported to be CARB approved, ARP rod bolts, new connecting rod small end bushings, ARP Main stud kit, ARP Head stud kit, ARP Head stud kit, E46 cam chain tensioner, new chains and tensioners, new clutch, new wires, plugs and cap, Kolbenschmitt main bearings, new coolant, and fluid reservoirs, and a new driveshaft bearing, new O2 sensor. Since the first M3 was released as part of BMW’s E30 3-Series, it has become the definitive driver’s car in the compact luxury segment. Throughout the years, every 3-Series since then has had an M3 on offer, representing the very best of what BMW can offer for this popular compact luxury car model. Today’s 2025 BMW M3 Competition xDrive is from the very latest G80 generation, and it’s the hardcore Competition variant – yes, even the M3 has a harder-than-hardcore derivative now. This lovely sports sedan is up for grabs in Gainesville with under 20,000 miles on the clock. It’s got carbon-fiber interior trim, the M Carbon Exterior Package on the outside, and more.

BMW’s 3-Series is a fine compact luxury car, embodying BMW’s spirit of creating the Ultimate Driving Machine. The default choice for many petrolheads for decades, BMW had the bright idea of pushing the envelope and creating a halo variant in the mid 1980s. Their efforts came to fruition with the E30 M3 that ran between 1986 and 1991. With its fizzy four-cylinder engine and myriad performance enhancements, the letter-and-number pairing of M3 quickly gained a reputation. Ever since then, every 3-Series has been accompanied by an M3. Engines grew from four to six to eight cylinders, and then went back to six, albeit with turbocharging. This particular 2023 BMW M3 Competition from Sunset, Texas is from the current G80 series and has just 5,000 miles on the clock. Plus it’s got the Competition Package for an even more hardcore driving experience, while retaining the family-friendliness that the 3-Series is known for.

The BMW M3 is widely regarded as one of the finest driver teaching tools ever made. It’s the high-performance derivative of BMW’s 3-Series compact car, and has been around since the first E30 M3 came around in 1986. From that time forwards, every 3-Series has had an M3 in its model mix. Today’s 2005 BMW M3 comes from the E46 era of 2000 to 2006, which is the last to have a high-revving naturally aspirated straight six under the hood – consecutive M3s used a V8 or a turbocharged six. This particular car from Burlingame, California is reportedly a track-ready build with JRZ Pro suspension, Volk Racing TE37 18-inch wheels and reportedly packs a new S54 engine with approximately 10,000 miles on it. It’s also said that the transmission is also new, and has around 3,000 miles on it.

This 2024 BMW M4 Competition xDrive Convertible combines modern M performance with open-top driving, finished in Black Sapphire Metallic over a Black Extended Merino Leather interior. Showing just under 15,000 miles, it remains a low-mileage example of BMW’s high-performance convertible. The aggressive styling, retractable soft top, and advanced all-wheel-drive system make this M4 equally suited for spirited driving or comfortable grand touring. Equipped with desirable factory options including the Executive Package and Driving Assistance Professional Package, it blends performance, luxury, and technology in a well-equipped configuration.

BMW’s XM is a full-size crossover with a plug-in hybrid powertrain, designed mainly for the US market. If you’d like to get your hands on an XM right now, we have this 14,000-mile 2024 BMW XM for sale today. Coming to you from Austin, this vehicle comes with the M Driver’s Package, the Bowers & Wilkins Diamond Surround Sound upgrade, a stunning Sakhir Orange and Black two-tone interior, and even the charger is included with the sale. Isn’t that quite an attractive automotive package to treat yourself to?

This build goes far beyond cosmetic modification. The F31 Touring chassis was never offered in the United States as an F80 M3 wagon, making this “F81 M3 Touring Tribute” a conceptual recreation of what BMW enthusiasts have long wanted: an M3-powered long-roof. Starting life as a 328i xDrive, the car has been transformed mechanically and visually to reflect M3 Competition character, combining practicality with serious performance intent. With over 61,000 miles, it reflects a properly used and developed enthusiast project rather than a static showpiece.
