Overview of 1992 Toyota Supra Turbo For Sale by Owner

The Toyota Supra is a legend of JDM circles, and gained a lot of popularity in the United States too. This was primarily the fourth generation Supra, with its appearance in The Fast And The Furious franchise. But there are Supras from earlier generations that are just as cool, desirable, fast, and fun to drive. Take the third generation, from which this 1992 Toyota Supra MkIII Turbo hails. It’s got pop-up headlamps and some cars came with removable targa roofs! Suffice to say, this 50,750-mile example from Rochester, Minnesota does have those neat features, and a turbocharged straight six under the hood. No, it’s not a 2JZ-GTE, but something that was considered fearsome back in its day.

Exterior and Interior

Coming to you in clean white, this third-generation 1992 Toyota Supra MkIII Turbo features the aforementioned removable targa top, as well as a set of stock white wheels. It’s a lovely machine to look at as it glides down the road, and reminiscent of an era passed by, when cars had distinctive designs that instantly separated them from each other. The four-seat interior of this 1992 Toyota Supra MkIII Turbo comes with blue cloth seat upholstery and an aftermarket Kenwood Excelon audio player with an upgraded sound system. We see the subwoofer for this neatly nestled in the trunk, itself quite generous for a sports car. There are power-adjustable front seats, power windows and even cruise control. Air conditioning with automatic climate control is another nice feature offered by this Supra. A peek at the lower center console also reveals controls for the TEMS system which was a form of adaptive suspension damping, although we’re not told if the system is still functional.

Engine

This 1992 Toyota Supra MkIII Turbo uses a 3.0-liter straight six with a turbocharger. It’s a 7M-GTE unit that was reportedly rated at 232hp and 254lb-ft. A 4-speed automatic transmission powers the rear wheels. The car comes with rack and pinion power steering, plus four-wheel ventilated disc brakes. It’s also got front and rear double wishbone independent suspension for crisp handling, which will please keen drivers. Since it’s a Toyota, it’s also superbly easy to maintain and keep in peak condition.
