Think Thunderbird, and you’ll likely remember the original “Personal Luxury car” of the fifties or perhaps the revamped retro-inspired eleventh generation of the early 2000s. But the have been many Ford Thunderbirds in between, each one of them special and loved by dedicated fans across America. This 10th generation 1997 Ford Thunderbird LX features a reportedly low mileage of just 22,700 miles and looks to be in very good condition, both inside and out. This large front-engine, rear-wheel drive coupe is an excellent reminder of ’90s car culture and is reportedly all-original with up-to-date servicing for added reassurance.

The ’90s was a time when computer-aided automotive design was really taking off, with even more attention paid to the way that aerodynamics influence performance. This is evident in the 1997 Ford Thunderbird LX’s streamlined and clean outer appearance. It features a relatively low front end and has a shorter wheelbase than its predecessor. This, being a facelifted model, features an updated appearance, with the Thunderbird emblem appearing on the grille and a more curvaceous hood injecting some pizzaz into the design. Our featured example is painted in black and is reportedly all-original, right down to the chrome wheels, which are wrapped in Firestone tires. The originality extends to the interior. Images of the interior confirm the low mileage, with a four-spoke leather-wrapped steering wheel that looks virtually factory fresh, pedals that are sans wear, and uncracked dashboard plastics. The 1997 Ford Thunderbird was relatively loaded for its era, featuring gray cloth upholstery, cruise control, power windows, a tilt steering wheel, and a power sunroof.

Under the hood lies a 3.8-liter V6 powerplant, which reportedly outputs 155 hp in this application. The naturally aspirated V6 engine is mated to a four-speed automatic transmission. This all-original car appears to be unmolested under the hood, with no modifications reported and up an up-to-date servicing history to ensure this time capsule of a car continues for many more years to come.

Ford’s contribution to American motoring history in the luxury segment, the Thunderbird came in 1955 and created the Personal Luxury Car segment. Known as the creator of the Personal Luxury Car segment, Ford’s Thunderbird drew inspiration from Europe’s grand tourers—machines built for comfort, elegance, and long-distance cruising. Ford ultimately produced eleven generations of the T-Bird, evolving from its original two-seat layout to a more versatile four-seat design that broadened its appeal. This 1960 Ford Thunderbird is a standout second-generation example currently offered in Aptos, California. With only 12,510 miles since its full restoration, this car presents as a well-preserved and thoughtfully updated classic. Upgrades such as a front disc brake conversion and electric windshield wipers enhance drivability while maintaining its vintage charm. The sale also includes a car cover and a reprinted original owner’s manual, making it an inviting opportunity to own and enjoy a piece of American automotive history.

The 1955 model year marked the debut of the Ford Thunderbird, a car that defined the American two-seat personal luxury segment and rivaled the Corvette with style and refinement. This first-year example is finished in black over a black-and-white vinyl interior and retains its timeless original character. Powered by the 292 cubic-inch “Y-block” V8 paired with a Ford-O-Matic 3-speed automatic transmission, it delivers smooth cruising power wrapped in one of Ford’s most iconic designs. Showing 77,080 miles and reported by the current owner as an all-original car, it represents a significant opportunity to own a true piece of midcentury motoring history.

BMW’s range has grown quite a bit over the past decade or so. You’ve got their electric ‘i’ range of course, then there’s the X range of SUVs, and of course the well-known number series of cars. Even here, gaps have been filled – for example the best-known 3,5 and 7 have now been joined by 1,2,4,6 and 8. Today, we have a 2026 BMW M4, which as you can possibly guess, is from the 4-Series. The 4-Series sits just above the 3-Series, as a spin-off from its coupe and convertible variants. But wait, BMW also made a 4-Series Gran Coupe, which is a four-door. Confusing much? Don’t worry because, as the name tells us, this M4 from Valparaiso, Florida, is the hottest 4-Series you can buy, and it’s a sleek two-door coupe. With a highly sought after premium exterior color and a superbly potent twin turbo six under the hood, it’s the perfect family car for an enthusiast, replete with only 1,300 miles to its name.
