Exterior and Interior
Finished in gloss black on black, this Ford Mustang Hennessey may have outlandish performance credentials, but the subtle exterior treatment is just enough to ensure that it flies under the radar. Externally, it shares the same flourishes as the Shelby GT350. Added to this is an assortment of Hennessey and HPE850 badges, along with a serial-numbered interior plaque and under-hood plaque to guarantee authenticity.
Engine
Hennessey’s efforts have been concentrated on the Mustang’s 5.2-liter Voodoo V8 heart. The standard naturally-aspirated GT350 flat-crank engine delivered 526 hp. The Hennessey HPE850 performance pack adds a 2.9-liter Supercharger system, high-flow throttle body, high-flow fuel injectors, high-flow heat exchanger, a high-flow air induction system, and Kooks long-tube headers. These extensive and professionally-installed upgrades bring power up to 858 hp and 673 lb-ft of torque—enough for a mind-bending 0-60 mph time of just 3.3 seconds. As an added incentive to those who prefer a raw connection to the driving experience, all 858 hp is sent to the rear wheels via a manual transmission.
