BMW’s compact sports car offering of the Nineties, the Z3 was made between 1996 and 2002. It slotted in as an entry-level offering, and was based on the E36 Compact’s platform. With over 297,000 units sold during its production run, the Z3 was definitely a hit. It made the BMW brand more attainable to a younger crowd who wanted something hip, funky and easy to drive. This 2000 BMW Z3 2.3 Roadster, for example, is one of 22,282 of its kind, and currently resides in Bristol, Tennessee. With just over 34,000 miles, a smooth straight six under the hood and an automatic gearbox, it's an ideal first car for anyone. The original owner’s manual is available too!

The exterior appears in Alpine White, a non-metallic factory shade that suits the Z3’s sculpted fenders, side vents, and low-slung proportions. The car rides on the original 16-inch BMW five-spoke alloy wheels, and the black soft convertible top matches the overall look. Inside, the car features black leatherette upholstery, aluminum-look trim on the console and shift knob, and BMW’s factory Business CD stereo. The dashboard, switchgear, and interior plastics appear original, and features like power windows and power mirrors are present. The cabin retains its stock layout, including the factory automatic shifter and center console valet cups.

Under the hood is BMW’s 2.5-liter M52TU inline-six, naturally aspirated and fuel-injected, identifiable by its dual VANOS system and factory intake tract. The engine is paired with a 4-speed electronically controlled automatic transmission, sending power to the rear wheels in true BMW fashion. The engine bay shows stock configuration with no visible aftermarket components. Factory safety features such as ABS, traction control, and dual airbags are present, along with power-assisted steering and brakes. Overall, the drivetrain and mechanical systems appear consistent with a well-preserved, original-spec Z3.

Launched in the late 1990s, the BMW Z3 M Roadster took the compact proportions of the Z3 and infused them with the heart and chassis tuning of BMW’s M division. This 1998 example is finished in Imola Red II over a black interior with a black convertible soft top, presenting as both a driver’s car and a collectible modern classic. With just 30,900 miles reported, it is powered by a 3.2-liter naturally aspirated inline-six paired to a 5-speed manual transmission, delivering the raw, analog driving experience enthusiasts prize.

Our featured 2000 BMW Z3 M Roadster, finished in white with a black soft top and black leather interior, brings that character forward. Located in Laredo, Texas, it is powered by a 3.2-liter inline-six paired with a five-speed manual transmission, and the odometer reportedly shows 117,838 miles.

Chevy’s C8 or eighth-generation Corvette debuted in 2020 with a new mid-engined design, supercar-inspired looks and a new level of performance, overall. The new LT2 small-block V8 makes 490hp and 465lb-ft in stock form, which is a mild increase over the C7 on paper, but translates to vastly improved acceleration and drivability as a result of tuning and the new 8-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox which the C8 comes with. But what if you want to make that naturally aspirated unit into a forced induction beast? Well, you get something like this 570-horsepower 2022 Chevrolet Corvette 1LT. Tuned by Elited South Tuning and fitted with a Huron twin-turbo kit, this rear-wheel drive beast could be yours. It’s up for grabs in Greer, South Carolina with under 5,000 miles on the clock. Ford’s Focus isn’t that popular in America. It’s more of a European hero in the compact car class, where roads are smaller, town centers are tighter and compact cars rule the roost. Here, the Focus would be considered almost too small for our larger-than-life tastes. But hang on, what about the hot variant of the Focus? Specifically, the RS? Now we’re talking, because this is a spicy turbocharged hot hatch with all-wheel drive and 350 horses to be delivered. In fact, the engine of the third generation Focus RS, which is where this 2016 Ford Focus RS for sale hails from, is directly derived from the EcoBoost unit in the sixth-generation Mustang! So if you’re interested, this 86,000-mile car is up for sale in Riverside, California. It’s a four-door, too, so family practicality is another of its strong selling points, in case you need to convince your significant other as to why this car should be in your garage or driveway.
