



When a Mustang contains the word “Shelby” in its name, you know it’s going to be something special. This 2007 Mustang Shelby GT500 is no exception. In fact, being a convertible arguably makes this car even more interesting. The GT500 was available from 2007 to 2009 and had a lot in common with the lower spec cars (aside from the much-upgraded engine and gearbox). As such, like the other 5th generation Mustangs, the GT500 was very much an old school pony car. At the heart of the GT500 is a 5.4L supercharged V8 that drives the rear wheels via a Tremec 6-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. It has an aftermarket dual exhaust system and K&M air filters. The suspension is SVT-tuned, consisting of a MacPherson strut suspension system at the front and a solid axle 3-link suspension at the rear. The braking system is very competent too; power 4-wheel ventilated disc brakes with BREMBO brake calipers.
