The last Trail Teams edition of the FJ Cruiser to be sold in the US was the 2014 model, and as such it was called the Ultimate Edition. This 2014 Toyota FJ Cruiser Trail Teams Ultimate Edition is finished off in a smooth Heritage Blue, a color nod to the FJ40. It sits on a set of OEM 16" bead-lock-style TRD wheels finished off in a gunmetal color. The roof holds a heavy-duty storage rack to fulfill any storage needs. A ¼ inch thick skid plate with the TRD lettering is in place underneath, to protect the underbelly of the FJ Cruiser. To tackle any trail safely rocker rails are in place. The rear features a TRD exhaust, especially made for the FJ Cruiser Trail Teams Ultimate Edition. This sturdy off-roader comes with 3 keys - 2 fobs and 1 valet key. The interior is finished in a Dark Charcoal color, with an aftermarket front view camera installed. The Convenience Package comes with this vehicle. An aftermarket sound system with stereo and a subwoofer is in place for a premium sound experience.

All FJ Cruisers produced came with the Toyota VVTi 4.0L V6 engine that produces 260hp and 271lb.ft, mated to a 5-speed automatic transmission. While these performance numbers don't look much the FJ is one of the most capable and enduring off-road vehicles, thanks to its broad torque curve. Grip is enhanced by a set of BFGoodrich A/T tires, which the seller reports are in good shape and are the newer version of the factory set.
