The 24-hour Le Mans is a motorsport mania that is loved by auto enthusiasts around the world. The Chevrolet Corvette has a successful racing pedigree under its belt, notably at the Le Mans track. Their C7.R racecars have been carrying the torch at this track since their introduction in 2014. Corvette Racing partner Pratt & Miller in lockstep with Chevrolet’s engineering squad built this stunning machine that secured many victories at Le Mans. Chevy didn’t forget to pay homage to this icon with a track-capable road going version, the 2016 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 C7.R Edition. Only 500 units were made, and we are thrilled to share this rare example of the C7.R edition, which is suited with the 3LZ equipment group. It hides a surprise under the hood too!

Exterior and Interior

Having completed only 4,200 miles, this 2016 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 C7.R Edition is offered in Corvette Signature Racing Yellow Tintcoat livery. Its Z06 Black aluminum wheels embellished with yellow stripe are shod with low profile Michelin tires. Ceramic 4 wheel disc brakes coupled with yellow brake calipers can be found on all four corners for much needed stopping power for a racing car. Its beautiful yellow exterior is contrasted with hood insert with exposed carbon fiber weave and visible carbon fiber ground effects. As you open the doors to this C7.R Edition, you will be greeted by the C7.R Edition doorsill plaques followed by its sporty Jet Black interior. Competition Sport bucket seats hugs the passengers at any corner. You also get the C7.R Edition Plaque again on the center console to claim its fame.

Engine

The rock star of this 2016 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 C7.R Edition is its supercharged LT4 engine, otherwise explained as a 6.2L V8 engine. Delivering a whopping 650 horsepower, this engine makes use of an 8-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters to take control when you feel like it. It sits on Z07 Suspension, which is stiff enough to take any challenge on a racetrack.
