Rolls-Royce cars have built themselves a reputation from the time of their founding. The company has outlived two World Wars, depressions, stock market crashes, and everything since 1906. During the subsequent decades, the automotive arm of Rolls-Royce was renamed Rolls-Royce Motor Cars in 1998 and was bought over by BMW AG. The Rolls-Royce Ghost is a spiritual successor of the historic Rolls-Royce Silver Ghost and a direct successor of the Silver Wraith. It was introduced in 2009 as a full-sized luxury car and is currently in its second generation. The first generation Ghost consists of Series I and Series II, of which this 2016 Rolls-Royce Ghost is of the latter and comes with just 24,300 miles on the odometer.
This 2016 Rolls-Royce Ghost features a two-tone Black Robi X05 finish with a Silver Satin finish on the hood and trailing the grille. The front features a black grille with chrome vertical slats, while above it, the retractable Spirit of Ecstacy hood ornament is visible, and the lower portion of the front fascia features a massive full-breadth air dam finished with a black grille. The rear features a simplistic design devoid of any ostentation apart from the chrome RR badge on the tailgate. A set of premium 20" part polished RR forged alloy wheels with chrome and black RR center caps grace the Ghost. Black-painted brake calipers with white "Rolls-Royce" script are visible behind the wheels. Access to the interior is through the expansive suicide doors. The interior is appointed in a tasteful off-white color with black trimmings. The seats are decorated with black piping and embroidered black RR logos on the headrests. The leather front bucket seats are equipped with heating, 12-way power, memory, and tilt. Allowing ample light to the interior is the power panorama sunroof. Other options include a HUD, a backup camera with a top view, climate control seats, driver assistance, and more.
The 2016 Rolls-Royce Ghost is no lumbering beast, its 6.6L twin-turbo V12 engine coupled with a ZF 8-speed automatic transmission has a power output of 562hp along with 605 lb.ft of torque. 0-60 mph is clocked in at 4.7 seconds with an electronically limited top speed of 155.3 mph.
A recent trend in the car industry is the popularity of SUVs. They are everywhere and most brands want a piece of the SUV cake. But we seem to forgotten the where real luxury started – The mighty Luxo Barge. This is 2023 Rolls Royce Ghost Black Badge with just 8,600 miles on the odometer is not for setting hot lap records around the nurburgring, but instead cruising down the Autobahn at max velocity. The Ghost name has been around since the early 2010s and it has been a worthy stablemate to the mighty Phantom.
“In a class of its own” is a phrase that is often used to describe Rolls-Royce automobiles, and in 2009, Rolls-Royce decided to bring that class to a slightly different type of buyer than they usually catered to. The Ghost was released in 2009 to appeal to the younger demographic of wealthy car buyers and to those who were looking for an alternative to a V12 Mercedes S-Class or a Bentley Continental Flying Spur. The Ghost was aimed at buyers who wanted a comfortable limousine to be chauffeured around in but one that they could also drive themselves when they felt like it. It may be based on the BMW L6 platform, but make no mistake, this is not merely a 7 Series in a fancy dress. Both mechanically and cosmetically this is still very characteristically a Rolls-Royce.
Even the world’s best luxury automaker, Rolls-Royce, wasn’t immune from the SUV tsunami that gripped the automotive world. However, when you’re sitting at the top of the hierarchy of luxury, you’ve got to give it your best – and then some. That’s why Rolls-Royce took their own sweet time, only entering the luxury SUV game in 2018 with the Cullinan. Named after the largest rough diamond ever discovered to date, the Cullinan is the brand’s first SUV, and their first all-wheel drive vehicle. And as you’d expect, it’s every bit a Rolls-Royce. Don’t believe us? Buy this 2021 Rolls-Royce Cullinan Black Badge with a smidge less than 20,000 miles on the clock, and you’ll never settle for anything less.
Rolls-Royce is the ultimate aspirational point for most people, regardless of their level of knowledge about cars. The brand name gets entrenched in the minds of small children as the best luxury car in the world. Then, they see the iconic logo and Spirit of Ecstasy radiator grille mascot, and soon learn to recognize it. The best part is, it’s not marketing flattery and fluff. Rolls-Royce enjoys such reverence because they make exceptional cars. They go to great lengths to satisfy owners, with myriad customization avenues available. They were one of the last automakers in the world to stubbornly cling on to traditional coachbuilding techniques, long after many others had shifted to mass production and automated manufacturing. That’s why when you buy a car such as this 1971 Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow, you’re buying a legacy, a piece of history, and something truly amazing. This car comes with a few enhancements, but retains its Rolls-Royce spirit, something that’s truly inimitable.
Rolls-Royce is well known to be the most luxurious automaker in the world. With a rich history spanning over a decade, the Silver Spirit is one of their best-known icons of the Eighties and Nineties. This was the first Rolls-Royce to feature a retractable Spirit of Ecstasy hood mascot. The spring-loaded mascot would swiftly disappear into the grille if tampered with. Hence, Rolls-Royce owners could now rest easy in the knowledge that souvenir hunters and jealous punters couldn’t get their hands on one of the car’s most desirable aspects. That’s just one of many reasons of why you should consider taking on ownership of this 1982 Rolls-Royce Silver Spirit. The car comes with a reportedly original mileage of just 62,100, and has received some new parts to keep it humming along smoothly.
Porsche’s first SUV, the Cayenne was introduced in 2002. The Cayenne quickly gained a reputation as a luxury SUV that offered Porsche’s signature driving experience, making it the most family-friendly car that the Stuttgart automaker offered at the time. Mind you, this was before the Panamera, when Porsche’s only other models were the 911 and Boxster. Now, the Cayenne is on the third generation, and continues to be a best-seller for Porsche. So, if you want a Porsche that can easily be reckoned with as your sole family vehicle, check out this 46,000-mile 2020 Porsche Cayenne S from our inventory. It’s got a punchy V6 under the hood, plenty of tech features, and is a sharp looker too.
The Bentley Continental was introduced in 2003, as the first Bentley under Volkswagen ownership of the iconic British luxury automaker. Since then, the Continental GT is one of their flagship two-door products. It’s an immensely capable driver’s car that’s also packed with the last word in luxury features and finishes. Truly embodying the Bentley spirit of redefining driving at the higher echelons, you’d be missing out on a lot if you didn’t pick up this 2013 Bentley Continental GTC from us. This gorgeous drop top bears only 25,000 miles on the clock. Let us tell you a bit more.
The successor of Jaguar’s iconic XJS grand tourer, the XK was introduced in 1996. It ran until 2014, across two generations, before the F-Type took over. The XK also spawned a high-performance, supercharged variant called the XKR. With Jaguar’s recent rebranding and new direction causing quite a bit of controversy, why not celebrate what the brand used to be, rather than taking up arms at what it might be? This 2005 Jaguar XKR Roadster is a great way to celebrate, with its drop-top and supercharged V8 waiting for you to enjoy. The car packs just 118,064 miles, and has been recently serviced too.
