Overview of 2018 Ford Mustang Shelby GT350R For Sale by Owner

Shelby Mustangs have peppered the range since the first generation of Ford's ground-breaking pony car. When the sixth generation Mustang hit the streets, Shelby offered two variants. The GT500 was the power-focused maniac who would decimate things in a straight line. The less powerful GT350R was a more track-oriented Shelby Mustang. Rather than delivering raw power with forced induction, it sees a high-revving naturally aspirated engine and enhancements to the chassis, suspension, and braking. With just 18,500 miles reported, this car has received a new engine that's done less than 2,000 miles. Thus, it's ready for a lifetime of roaring around with its new owner. Will that be you?

Exterior and Interior

This 2018 Ford Mustang GT350R is a mean machine and the first signs of its persona lie within the Lead Foot Gray exterior it presents. Once you've got over that, the 19-inch carbon fiber wheels with wheel locking kit are the next attraction. There's also a carbon-fiber rear spoiler and a hood vent. Then, we find over-the-top racing stripes in black with red accents. Quad exhausts finish off what is a very potent track machine in the right hands. A Shelby car cover is included with the sale to keep this special car protected from the elements. Inside, there's a cabin sporting an ebony color theme interspersed with red accents. The rear seats have been deleted, as is standard on the GT350R variant. Other standard removals on the GT350R include the stereo system and air conditioning; we're not told if those have been performed on this particular car. The front seats are Recaro suede cloth units, and there's an Alcantara steering wheel with red center marker. The Shelby Exclusive Trim Package has been specified as well. This Mustang does have a push-button start, Ford's MyKey, the R-Electronics Package, and a rear window defroster, so it's not all stripped out.

Engine

The 5.2L Ti-VCT naturally aspirated V8 that powers this 2018 Ford Mustang GT350R is a beast to behold. Developing 526hp at a heady 8,250rpm, it's a truly banshee-like thing as you wind it up. You'll also unlock true driving nirvana with this car, as it sports a six-speed manual transmission that sends drive to the rear wheels via a Torsen differential with 3.73 axle ratio. Brembo brakes ensure steady stopping power, while the independent rear suspension and Magneride damping system keep this thoroughbred racehorse steady under cornering. There's also launch control and line lock to enjoy.
