Although a new revamped and thoroughly modernized version of the Ford Bronco was unveiled earlier this year, there’s no comparison to this traditional old-school 1972 first-generation Bronco. A car that won the hearts of many, the Ford Bronco was initially designed as a competitor to the CJ-5 Jeep. It helped pioneer the adoption of off-road and utilitarian vehicles by the public. However, it was later replaced with a more road-oriented version from the second generation. The first-generation Bronco remained in production for eleven years, with Ford seeing it fit to carry on development for a further six generations, making it one of Ford’s most well-known SUVs — arguably on par with Jeep’s Wrangler and the Land Rover Defender in terms of cult appeal. Although not in 100% original condition, this 1972 Ford Bronco could serve as a great base for either a full restoration or mind-blowing restomod.
