The fight to be the perfect Sunday cruiser can be a tricky one. Some might want a bit of performance whilst some prefer to slow down and enjoy every mile in a laid-back and chilled-out fashion. Whichever way you look at it nothing beats a good old American classic on a Sunday drive to perfectly sum up a hectic week. If you are the type that likes to slow it down and treasure every Sunday drive this 1967 Buick Electra 225 Convertible that we have today might be a good option. The current owner has had the car since 1997 and it’s located in Missouri with a reported original 95,000 miles on the clock. Not a particularly common bird, this Buick Electra could represent a savvy future investment too.

The 1965 model year saw General Motors redesigning their entire passenger model line ups and the Buick Electra was one of them. The new design called for flowing coke-bottle lines with fastback roof profiles. The exterior on this 1967 Buick Electra 225 Convertible really compliments those design features with its characteristic Sixties Aquamarine paint job that brings out its behemoth status quite well. The paint is in great condition due to the car being painted in 2015. To match its exterior, the convertible hood is white in color. The car rides on the original Buick hubcaps which really goes along with the abundance of chrome on the car, all of which is in great shape too. Matching the exterior color of this car can be tough but a good old black interior sure does the job well. The car is finished off with a black leather interior with the front and back seats being in perfect order. The rest of the interior is also in amazing condition as well with the carpets being brand new. Also present in the vehicle is the original Buick Am/FM player which completes this original interior really well.

With a car this size, it’s only natural that there is a sizable engine to power it and keeps it chugging along, and this is the exact case with this 1967 Buick Electra 225 Convertible. Powering the car is reportedly its original engine which is the 430ci (7.0L) Buick V8 engine. Whilst the engine is big in size it’s not geared for performance but smooth delivery of power making it an ideal cruiser. Power is set to its rear wheels through a three-speed Super Turbine 400 automatic gearbox. Gears are selected via a column shifter giving it that old school feel. Stopping power is made possible with Drum brakes all around. Also included in the sale is a spare driveshaft.

The Buick Regal is one of those nameplates from the Seventies that you can still buy today, albeit not in North America, but China! Introduced in 1973, just as the Malaise Era was taking hold, the Regal has always been the premium midsize offering from this storied American automaker. Regals have been made in coupe, sedan and station wagon forms, and come with some hot variants too. North American Regal sales ceased in 2020, as Buick wanted to refocus its attention towards solely selling SUVS in North America. Today, we have a second-generation 1986 Buick Regal T-Type Turbo for sale from Downey, California. This was considered quite a hot car in its time, due to its punchy 3.8-liter turbo V6 and performance-tuned suspension. This 44,107-mile car also comes with an upgraded intercooler set-up for a bit more bite.

The 1938 Buick Special Series 40 Sedan captures the elegance and innovation of pre-war American motoring, blending Buick’s hallmark smoothness with stylish Art Deco design. Offered from Nevada, Missouri, this example remains highly original, powered by its 248ci inline-eight paired to a 3-speed manual transmission. With 72,366 miles, it stands as both a collectible pre-war classic and a usable vintage sedan that showcases Buick’s engineering achievements of the era.

By 1965, the Buick Riviera had firmly established itself as one of the most striking American personal luxury coupes of its time. Combining Bill Mitchell’s sharp styling with Buick’s refined powertrains, the Riviera delivered both presence and performance in equal measure. This example, a 1965 model, carries the legendary 401 cubic-inch “Nailhead” V8 paired to a smooth-shifting ST-400 3-speed automatic transmission. Showing 20,446 miles on the odometer, it has been repainted in an eye-catching orange finish and fitted with aftermarket wheels, setting it apart while still honoring the car’s bold original character.
