Say hello to the 1968 Chevrolet Camaro SS. You may be familiar with the name; after all, it’s one of the most iconic cars out there. It was a proper performance car that took the Camaro name to new heights. One of the downsides of this kind of fame is that imitators are aplenty — not all Camaros bore the SS moniker when they left the showroom. However, our featured car is reported to be a true SS. Moreover, it’s undergone a complete restoration to bring it to its current condition.
Exterior and Interior
The exterior of any 1969 Chevrolet Camaro SS is a sight to behold. This generation of Camaro bears a timeless silhouette, with a wide and squat stance, complemented by a short deck and long hood. The new yellow paintwork with its black stripes perfectly highlights the design and matches the period-correct theme. You’ll find 396 badges on the rear fenders, signifying this car’s provenance, with the SS lettering on the grille and rear panel. You’ll also find steel wheels with chrome hubcaps wrapped with BFGoodrich white-lettered tires. The interior has been reportedly refreshed, with black seats, carpeting, and door cards. There are SS-branded floor mats and a deep-dish three-spoke steering wheel. The driver is presented with an RPM gauge and speedometer, while you’ll also find a period-looking radio in the center, complete with the Chevrolet bow tie logo. There are also gauges for battery voltage, engine water temperature, oil pressure, and fuel levels.
