The third generation of the Chevrolet C/K series is a line of trucks produced by General Motors between 1973 and 1991. These were renowned workhorses at the time and were a familiar sight in farmlands. Can such a vehicle be a sophisticated and mysterious showpiece? Deadwood Customs believes so. This particular 1973 Chevrolet C10 from the C/K series is a beautiful project done by the skillful team at Deadwood Customs. The truck was reportedly first bought at a Mecum auction and was brought to them in order to give it a special makeover. The truck was given the nickname Copper C10 by the team; we'll get into that later. Reportedly, it only has 450 miles on its clock making it factory-fresh.
Exterior and Interior
According to their website, when this 1973 Chevrolet C10 first arrived at Deadwood Customs they noticed the vibrant bed wood color and decided that the black & copper theme was the way to go, hence the nickname Copper C10. The exterior is draped in black paint, but the eagle-eyed among you will notice the subtle copper hints on the fender, door handles below the rear window, and the copper chains on the tailgate. The bed wood is new, but they ensured the rich color is still present. The front fascia has a custom grill and a cowl hood, while the truck rides on a lowered suspension, giving this C10 a unique appearance. Inside the truck is a fully redone black leather interior with a custom console. The driver is presented with a retro-style four-spoke steering wheel and upgraded gauges in copper. Updates to the doors include new black panels and armrests. A 14-inch infotainment system sits on the center console while a 10-inch Subwoofers grants you a quality entertainment experience.
Engine
Deadwood Customs got their hands on the mechanical aspect of this C10 as well. The rebuilt 350ci V8 engine is bejeweled with a copper upper radiator tube, air cleaner, and engine tin. The battery is relocated to the frame, and a trickle charger quick connect is installed. They added engine bay lighting to showcase the engine during nighttime car events since it looked gorgeous. It is mated to an automatic transmission to transfer power to the wheels.
