Up For Sale is Our 1974 Ford Bronco 5.0L V8
During the 1960s, the Jeep CJ-5 and the International Harvest Scout dominated the compact off-rad segment. Ford’s counter to that was in the form of the Ford Bronco, developed as a compact off-road vehicle in 1965 and then changed to a sport utility vehicle until its discontinuation in 1996. Ford revived the Bronco nameplate in 2021 as a mid-size two-door SUV. The first-generation Bronco was produced from 1966 to 1977. It included many firsts in its segment that it brought to the consumer. Up for grabs is a 1974 Ford Bronco Pickup 5.0L V8 with reportedly USD 20,000 invested into it since its purchase.
This 1974 Ford Bronco Pickup 5.0 V8 is dressed in an electrifying blue color with a tan soft-top. The front features a chrome front bumper and a fiberglass cowl hood with chrome hood pins. Fender flares have been installed with “Bronco” and the “5.0” badge visible on either side of the front quarter panels. The rear is spartan, apart from the embossed “Ford” lettering on the tailgate. A black painted roll bar has been added as well. It sits on chrome-painted aluminum off-road wheels with Warn Industries locking hubs also in chrome. The interior features a black theme for the dash and the bucket seats. A new stereo from Kenwood with Bluetooth and radio has been installed with a set of Rockford Fosgate speakers in the front and the rear. The centerpiece is the vintage-style 3-spoke chrome steering wheel made in aluminum and wood. A new ignition switch and a kill switch in the wheel well have been installed.
Powering this 1974 Ford Bronco Pickup is a 302cu 5.0L V8 engine with EFI for better fuel management and mated to an automatic transmission. Power steering and power brakes are standard on the Bronco. Seller reports that new weather stripping has been added. Other upgrades and replacements include a new fuel pump and hoses, a new heater, a front axle rack and pinion seal, and a new rear brake shoe. The differential cover has been removed and resealed with torqued differential bolts. The front brake pads and rotors have been replaced with new ones. The complete electrical wiring harness has been replaced, along with blinker switches. All receipts for the upgrades/replacements are available for the new owner.
