When considering a reliable workhorse, very few options are as compelling as the Ford F-150. With decades of reliable performance delivered in each generation, you know these vehicles can get the job done, and last through the ages. A good example of this fact is this particular 1978 Ford F-150, located in Kentucky, which has lasted for more than four decades and is still going strong. Reportedly garage kept and with the 4-wheel drive system rarely used, this drivetrain has lasted about 120,000 miles already. The engine had to be replaced, with the new one used as a replacement reportedly having only 25,000 miles racked up on it. Overall, this F-150 has lasted a lifetime and is a solid choice, ready to be welcomed to a new home and enjoyed for another lifetime to come.
They don’t make them like they used to, and that can certainly be said about the iconic design of this particular 1978 Ford F-150 model. Sporting a fully repainted green body, the bold boxy design elements that this truck sports gives it a powerful presence, especially from the front with its large and commanding front grille. Chrome bumpers and mirrors help add a metallic gleam, and although several years old, the tires remain fresh looking and in excellent condition. The only gripe that exists is the bed liner which is slightly peeling at the tailgate. The green extends to the interior as well, including the new bucket seats which have a really good color combination. The interior for the most part has been maintained as it was originally, with the exception being the seats and the aftermarket Kenwood radio that you’ll find does a very good job.
The massive 400ci engine housed in this 1978 Ford F-150 is reportedly a new 350ci Cleveland Engine bored to about 400ci somewhere around 10 years ago. It seems to have held up, and continues to do so. Although the drivetrain has more mileage, the entire powertrain, which houses an automatic transmission and 4WD has done well and endured the years, ready to be enjoyed for many years to come.
If you want a half-ton pickup truck with plenty of capability and ruggedness, you can’t go amiss with a Ford F-150. Arguably the most popular half-tonner in the United States, the F-150 is now on its fourteenth generation and has spawned an electric variant too. If you prefer something a bit more conventional, we’ve got this thirteenth-generation 2020 Ford F-150 XL up for sale. It’s packing a mere 28,600 miles and is of the rarer two-door single cab variants. However, it still includes plenty of amenities, such as the Equipment Group 10A, a Class IV trailer hitch, and the XL Power Equipment Group, and has been tuned by 5 Star Tuning. There’s lots more to learn about this truck, so let’s get to it.
This 2017 Ford F-150 Shelby with just 55,000 miles is not for the faint of heart. For starters, it has been breathed upon by the legendary Ford tuning house, Shelby, and has a supercharger! It's certainly one way of making one of America's most-loved trucks just that bit more special. After all, the F-150 has been the best-selling vehicle in America for multiple years in a row — it’s safe to assume that Ford knows what they’re doing. Especially given that they’ve been producing the F-series since 1948.
Classic Fords from the '30s and '40s make for fantastic restomod platforms. Thanks to their iconic design, they convert very easily into eye-catching hot rods. Then, they can be endowed with performance powertrains and modern creature comforts. That’s precisely what you’ll be getting if you buy this 1932 Ford Model B 3-Window Coupe. It’s a comprehensively restored and re-engineered hot rod with less than 4,500 miles on it.
Bullitt, starring Steve McQueen, was one of the most iconic movies of the Sixties. Who can forget that iconic scene where McQueen’s character burns plenty of rubber in a 1968 Ford Mustang GT Fastback? The car was painted in a distinctive shade of green, and subsequently, there would be many Bullitt Mustang editions available to the public. So, when Ford turned to retro-modern design with the fifth generation of the Mustang, it was logical for a Bullitt Edition to follow. This particular 2008 Ford Mustang Bullitt has just 22,990 miles on the clock and comes with two keys, plus all servicing up to date. Most importantly, it proudly bears Steve McQueen’s signature on the faux aluminum dash, and comes with a Frank Bullitt license plate too.
Named after Henry Ford’s sprawling estate in Dearborn, Michigan, the Fairlane was Ford’s full-size car between 1955 and 1970. The name would see some use in markets outside America as well, notably Australia, later on. The Fairlane represented the flagship Ford automobile that a buyer could purchase and came with all the expected trimmings and comforts. It was made in a wide array of body styles, including a convertible aptly called the Sunliner. If you’re searching for a first-generation Fairlane, we’ve got this 28,713-mile 1955 Ford Fairlane Sunliner available right now. It’s a great classic that will only appreciate in value as time goes by.
