Land Rover is one of those British automobile manufacturers which has some of the most widely known vehicles. It is a brand of Jaguar Land Rover and was introduced in 1948, as a predominantly four-wheel drive, off-road capable vehicle. Arguably the Land Rover Defender is the most well-known model of their lineup, the Defender dates all the way back to 1983 when it was first introduced, the Defender is the spiritual successor of the tough Land Rover Series. Bedecked in an ominous black color this 1987 Land Rover Defender exudes menace. Safeguarding the paint is clear coat paint protection. Upfront is a brush guard painted in black from ARB with a winch and a perforated skid plate underneath. The Land Rover lettering is done in silver and is clearly visible in the lip of the hood with the hood flanked by hood vents. New LED headlights have been installed with signal/marker lights. The rear features a black ladder with LED taillights and a trailer harness. A rear windshield wiper is also installed. It sits on a set of 5-spoke brushed metal and black-painted wheels. The interior is done in black with a custom diamond pattern stitch and a white cross-stitch. An ultra-suede headliner has been added along with new carpets. The front seats are heated while the rear seats have A/C as well. An Alpine 7” touch screen stereo is in place with a JL 4-channel amplifier. The Defender is heat and sound deadened. A security alarm system from Python keeps the vehicle safe.
The 1987 Land Rover Defender 110 came with a host of engine options from the 2.5L I4 to the 3.5L V8. However, this Defender is equipped with an LS swapped motor, a GM 5.3L engine to be specific. The seller reports that a new battery is installed along with a Ron Davis aluminum radiator with Spal fans. A high-flow catalytic converter is installed to the custom mandrel-bent stainless steel exhaust system. Traverse any terrain with a set of Cooper Discoverer AT3 rubbers.
