Third generation Ford Mustangs, also known as the Fox Body, are known for getting relatively little love in the Mustang’s story. Introduced in 1979, the Fox came into a period when power outputs were still low, and cars weren’t particularly nice to drive. However, by the mid 1980s, things started looking positive, which is why if you’re a Fox fan, you want to look at the third generation’s latter stages.
