BMW’s halo 5-Series has, and continues to be the revered M5. If you’re looking for a German executive express, the M5 has been at it since 1984. Initially offered with a straight six, it’s since borne a soulful V8, screaming V10 and has now entered the turbo era. Each generation of the 5-Series since the E28 has had an M5, and this 2006 BMW M5 Dinan 5.8 Stroker is from the E60 generation. Furthermore, it’s even more hardcore as renown BMW tuners Dinan have worked their magic on this already potent car. With just 87,000 miles done since new, it’s seeking an adventurous owner who won’t hesitate to open up whenever the conditions permit. The seller reports that preventative maintenance has been done, and the car comes with a Dinan serial numbered book.

This 2006 BMW M5 Dinan 5.8 Stroker looks largely unchanged from a regular E60 M5, which is no bad thing. Wearing a Silver Gray Metallic paint job, it can inoffensively blend in with the traffic when desired. It’s only when you head round to the rear that the change is noticeable, with a single Dinan badge, low profile trunk lid spoiler and blacked-out tail lamps. The wheels are the stock M5 units which are suitably handsome in silver. A glass moonroof offers some stargazing opportunities too. Step aboard and the interior presents itself in black, with extended leather plus lashings of wood trim on the dash, center console and doors. You get all the creature comforts one would expect from a 5-Series, including dual-zone climate control, electrically adjustable heated front seats, heated rear seats, BMW’s first-generation iDrive infotainment system, BMW M steering wheel with multifunction controls and paddle shifters, a heads-up display, and analog gauge cluster. Look at that cluster, and the 200mph speedometer, plus 9,000rpm tachometer redlined at 8,000rpm tell you that this isn’t a basic 5-Series.

What’s Dinan done to the engine? The E60 M5 came with a naturally aspirated 5.0L V10 that sang a high-revving soundtrack on the way to delivering 500hp, a song that made the hairs on the back of your neck tingle – even if you were the driver! This 2006 BMW M5 Dinan 5.8 Stroker, as the name suggests comes with Dinan’s stroker kit that takes it out to 5.8L, for a power output said to be near 630hp. You’ve also got Dinan proprietary forged crankshaft, lightweight forged pistons, lightweight connecting rods and it all comes together courtesy Dinan electronics and engine management software. Drive goes to the rear wheels via a 7-speed SMG-III sequential manual gearbox. While the top speed isn’t stated, there are videos that show Dinan M5s like this one maxing out the 200mph dial!

Step into any older BMW and you instantly are exposed to a driving experience that's unparalleled and geared to set your driving expectations up a level. With original examples becoming a massive rarity thanks to a massive aftermarket scene giving one access to a host of engine swaps, the 1988 BMW M5 sure makes for a unicorn against the backdrop of German tuner machines. However, worry not, as the current owner reports that this is a one-owner, original mileage example ready for its new custodian to cruise around in style and enjoy German performance.

Turn back the clock to the early 2000s and this was exactly the case with BMW and their legendary M5. Built to suit a legendary marque, the BMW E60 M5 carried on the torch from the iconic E39 and provided the world with performance thats not only blistering but practical. BMW’s range has grown quite a bit over the past decade or so. You’ve got their electric ‘i’ range of course, then there’s the X range of SUVs, and of course the well-known number series of cars. Even here, gaps have been filled – for example the best-known 3,5 and 7 have now been joined by 1,2,4,6 and 8. Today, we have a 2026 BMW M4, which as you can possibly guess, is from the 4-Series. The 4-Series sits just above the 3-Series, as a spin-off from its coupe and convertible variants. But wait, BMW also made a 4-Series Gran Coupe, which is a four-door. Confusing much? Don’t worry because, as the name tells us, this M4 from Valparaiso, Florida, is the hottest 4-Series you can buy, and it’s a sleek two-door coupe. With a highly sought after premium exterior color and a superbly potent twin turbo six under the hood, it’s the perfect family car for an enthusiast, replete with only 1,300 miles to its name.

This 2015 BMW i8 stands out as a coveted early-production example equipped with the top-tier Pure Impulse World package, making it one of the most premium configurations available. Finished in Crystal White Pearl Metallic w/ Frozen Blue Accents, it carries the most iconic i8 look while pairing it with the Pure Impulse Carum Spice Full Perforated Leather interior—BMW’s highest interior specification for the model year. The combination of hybrid performance, exotic butterfly-door styling, and a $150K original MSRP positions this i8 as a futuristic grand-touring sports car with a luxury-focused package rarely seen on standard trims.

Forged from the desire to really make the Ultimate Driving Machine, the BMW M3 first appeared on BMW’s E30 generation of 3-Series, way back in 1986. Since then, every 3-Series, right up to the current G80 generation has had a corresponding M3. Throughout its life so far, the M3 has had four, six and eight-cylinder power. It’s enjoyed natural aspiration and forced induction. It’s been made in coupe, convertible, sedan and station wagon forms. But one thing has always remained true, its amazing enthusiast-pleasing driving manners. You see, the M3 isn’t about outright speed and power. It's never been about that. Instead, its about providing a package that’s engaging to drive and practical to live with. This G80-era 2023 BMW M3 Competition xDrive Sedan is living proof of that ethos. It’s a four-door sedan with all-wheel drive, the Executive Package, Carbon Fiber Trim Package and even a Matte Black PPF! And yet, it’s supremely amazing to drive while being able to carry your family on their regular errands. If you’re interested, this 21,380-mile car is currently available in Lima, Ohio.
