The styling of the BMW i8 is totally unlike any other vehicle from 2014. BMW wanted to showcase its futuristic performance-biased hybrid powertrain with an equally futuristic body. What powers this spaceship, you might wonder? A BMW TwinPower turbo engine? Yes, but it’s not quite what you’d expect. Meanwhile, the front wheels are driven by an electric motor. In all-electric mode, the i8 can travel for up to 15 miles on the battery, whilst topping out at 75mph.
