We’ve shifted so many ‘Vettes, that we’d rightly consider ourselves quite well informed on GM’s sports car that’s been around since 1953. Named after the small and maneuverable warship, the Corvette is now on its eighth generation, and what a generation it be! A shift from front-engined to mid-engined is the major difference. Of course, that also makes the seventh, or C7 generation the last of the old guard where the V8 lay under the hood. If you’re looking for a C7 ‘Vette, this 2016 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 1LZ is a fine example to consider. Coming from Georgia, it’s got just 19,000 miles on its wheels.

Hwasup Lee was the designer of the C7, and it saw a more angular and sharp-creased styling language as the predominant theme. This 2016 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 1LZ showcases this styling with a suave white paint job. Being a Z06, it’s got glass skins louvers and some elements from the Z07 performance package, including Z07 carbon fiber splitter, Z07 carbon fiber side skirts and Z07 spoiler. An exhaust cover plate completes the elements that differentiate this one from a regular C7 ‘Vette. The tires are reportedly new, and are wrapped around 19-inch alloys at the front, and 20-inch units at the rear. Venture aboard and it’s a red interior that greets you. The two leather seats are powered, and there’s also a Z06 red armrest, as well as Z06 floor mats. The driver grips a sporty flat-bottomed steering wheel with multifunction switches and scroll wheels, and faces a combination digital and analog gauge cluster, encompassing a central screen flanked by an analog speedometer on the left-hand side, and analog gauges for fuel and supercharger boost on the right-hand side. Typically, the center screen shows an RPM gauge but can be configured to show other information as well. You also get a touchscreen infotainment system and climate control system. A small plaque beneath the climate control buttons gently inform you of the 650hp and 650lb-ft power and torque figures.

650hp and 650lb-ft of torque. That’s what you get from the 6.2L supercharged V8 engine that powers this 2016 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 1LZ. The top speed is 185mph. Drive is sent to the rear wheels via a Hydramatic 8L90 eight-speed automatic transmission with manual shifting available via the steering-mounted paddles. Brembo brakes, magnetic ride control, electronic limited-slip differential and and performance traction management are the other goodies that the Z06 brings to the table.

Chevy’s second-generation Corvette was made from 1963 to 1967, but across that relatively short lifcycle, over 117,000 examples found homes. This highlights how popular the Corvette was back then, much like it is now. The second generation or C2 brought about many features that we know from later ‘Vettes, such as pop-up headlamps, the boat-tailed styling, and the exclusive use of V8s for the Corvette – the C1 did offer a six cylinder early in its lifecycle but that wasn’t deemed worthy for a top-tier sports car. Today, we’ve got a 1967 Chevrolet Corvette Coupe for sale from Shohola, Pennsylvania, and let us tell you it’s a catch. With a growling 327 under the hood, this is classic American car nirvana at its finest. Plus, given the great condition of the car, it’s a sure-fire appreciating asset if you continue to look after it. If you’re interested in getting your hands on this beauty, we’re waiting for your call or DM.

Chevy’s third-generation Corvette of 1968 to 1982 was the best-seller in the entire range, in terms of generational numbers. Thanks to its super-long production run, over 542,000 were made, despite it carrying on through the dreaded Malaise Era. During these dark times for automotive enthusiasts, Chevy worked hard to maintain the Corvette as one of the fastest American cars around – of course that was a subjective term, but impressive, nonetheless. Hence, a C3 Corvette is a robust way to enter the world of classic American cars. Want to know more? We’ve got a 1977 Chevrolet Corvette for sale from Littleton, Colorado right here. It packs a 350ci L48 under the hood, paired with an automatic transmission to make it more convenient for those who never bothered to learn stick shift.

This 1978 Chevrolet Corvette is everything you want with a classic ‘Vette. It’s powerful, it’s stylish, and it has a big V8. With 1,637 miles reported on the clock, this is a car that has seen history play out, and stays timeless in every era. With removable T-top roof panels, a few upgrades to the engine and BFGoodrich Radial tires, this car is ready to be claimed for your garage.

Chevy’s answer to Ford’s pony car challenge, the Camaro came in 1967 and brought a sister along for the ride, in the shape of the Pontiac Firebird. This was a smart move by General Motors as it allowed them to sell two suitably varied models in the same segment but with much of the same underpinnings, engines and other components. The Firebird was axed in 2002 but the Camaro continued to be made until 2024. That makes it the second longest-running pony car in history. Today, we’ve got a nice first-generation 1969 Chevrolet Camaro SS for sale in St. Cloud, Florida. This 1969 Chevrolet Camaro SS 396 is a show-stopping example of American muscle restored to concours-level detail. Verified by its X66 code and built at the Norwood, Ohio plant, this real-deal Super Sport coupe combines factory originality with subtle performance enhancements that elevate both its drivability and collectability. With its matching-numbers big-block, correct Turbo 400 transmission, and period-authentic Holley 4346 carburetor, this Camaro is the perfect blend of raw 1960s muscle and expert craftsmanship.

The first new Chevy truck to come out since World War II ended, the Advance Design era ran between 1947 and 1955. It replaced the older AK series and was bigger, stronger and sleeker in design. The range started with the 3100 half-tonner, and went on through the one-ton 3800, and into chassis cabs and medium-duty trucks. Now, the Advance Design has found some fame as a restomod platform. That’s what we have here, a 1952 Chevrolet 3100 Restomod from Smithville, Texas. This truck has undergone a full makeover, including a new 396ci V8, a 4-speed automatic gearbox, air conditioning and much more. If you want to rock and roll around in something different to your typical classic car, this is a fine option to consider.
