The race for the best electric or plug-in hybrid cars began in earnest at the start of the previous decade, and with it, it had reeled in BMW. BMW understood where the distant future of the automobile would be and introduced its i-Series which the i3 opened in 2013 and the plug-in hybrid sports car BMW i8 followed in 2014. To commemorate its third anniversary, BMW released the i8 Protonic Frozen Black Edition in limited numbers. While the i8 was discontinued in 2020, the car in itself, and especially the limited edition variants, have seen its value and price rise upwards. A chance to own this 2017 BMW i8 Protonic Frozen Black Edition is at hand, as the current owner is looking to pass it on to the new owners, and it comes with just 40,000 miles on the odometer.
Straight up, this 2017 BMW i8 Protonic Frozen Black Edition makes a statement with its exterior color like no other regular i8. Where others come in a dual-tone color, this special i8 is bedecked in a uniform Protonic Frozen Black, which was made specifically for this model by BMW Individual. A lighter shade of Frozen Grey Metallic accents can be seen throughout the car's front grille, sides, and rear. A set of 20" BMW I light alloy W-spoke wheels painted in matte black grace the i8. Red-painted brake calipers with a full-color M decal are visible behind the wheels. Entry to the vehicle is through the butterfly doors, which the i8 is the only one to utilize in BMW, and are greeted by the engraved "Protonic Frozen Black Edition" inscriptions on the Frozen Grey Metallic door sill. Taking a break from all the black is the dark NESO seats with woven yellow and anthracite stitching, along with the BMW i8 logo embossed on the headrests. Contrast grey seat belts are present, along with floor mats in black and with leather piping. The seats feature heating, while the headliner is finished in Anthracite.
2017 BMW i8 Protonic Frozen Black Edition uses the 1.5L I3 turbo engine with its accompanying hybrid synchronous motor. As expected it uses an automatic transmission that diverts the combined power of 357hp and 420 lb.ft of torque to the all-wheel drive system.
The BMW i8 is a plug-in hybrid sports car that was introduced along with the BMW i3 marketed under a newly introduced “BMW i’ sub-brand. It appeared as a fuel efficient alternative to pure gas powered sports cars, while boasting design elements of exotic supercars. The flashy design of the BMW i8 was heavily influenced by the fabled BMW M1, paying homage to BMW’s last production mid-engined sports car prior to the BMW i8. However, it was not just the hybrid system that took a big step forward in automotive technology. There were many other elements. The BMW i8 was the first production car to be equipped with laser headlights that could light up the road much farther than LED lights. This particular 2015 model with a lithium ion traction battery has clocked a mere 20,636 on the odometer. With only 20,500 BMW i8 models produced throughout its life, this 2015 BMW i8 Pure Impulse World is for sale in Raleigh, North Carolina.
One of the most futuristic cars to ever be produced by BMW, the i8 dropped jaws when it entered production in 2013. It had been shown as a concept in 2010, but nobody expected BMW to go with it in such an unfiltered manner. Yet, they did, and showed the world that hybrids could be fun and exciting to drive. So, why not get yourself an i8 and add some zest to your life? This 2017 BMW i8 is a worthy contender for that extra space in your garage or driveway. The car comes with a host of packages, including the Pure Impulse Program, the Mobility Kit, Comfort Access, Storage Package, Active Driving Assistant, Park Distance Control, Advanced RTTI, a larger capacity fuel tank, and more. It’s got under 42,000 miles on the clock, and the charger is included too.
Heralding BMW’s entry into electric and hybrid mobility, the German automaker’s i-series kicked off with the i8. What a way to start; here was a low-slung two-seat sports car that looked straight out of a sci-fi movie. The i8 featured groundbreaking styling by Benoit Jacob, and a surprising choice of engine – mid-mounted of course. Naturally, there are quite a few fans of the i8, and we’ve got a pleasant 9,000-mile 2014 BMW i8 for one lucky person to grab. So, if you’ve been lusting after an i8, drop whatever you’re doing right now and call us pronto.
The BMW 5-Series is a fine midsize luxury car from BMW, also known as the makers of the Ultimate Driving Machine. Indeed, this self-applied accolade does apply to a variety of their models, past and present. The 5-Series is a great example, especially when you look back at their older variants. Today, we’ve got a 1988 BMW 528E from the E28 era up for sale in Malibu, California. This four-door sedan comes with a smooth in-line six, a recent servicing and is said to be all-stock, mechanically. It’s got an impressive 266,538 miles on the clock but you wouldn’t be able to tell; such is the degree to which the car has been cared for. These cars can keep going if well-maintained, and you should be easily able to pass 300,000 and head for bigger numbers.
There comes a time when a manufacturer creates perfection and then finds it hard to get back to that sort of perfection with their later models. Turn back the clock to the early 2000s and this was exactly the case with BMW and their legendary M5. Built to suit a legendary marque, the BMW E60 M5 carried on the torch from the iconic E39 and provided the world with performance thats not only blistering but practical. Present today is this 2006 BMW M5. With a reported 63,215 miles on its clock, this legendary BMW performance machine is built to bring you smiles per gallon, better yet, there is space for family and friends to join you for the ride.
The BMW 8-Series was first launched in 1990, as the brand’s top-tier two-door Grand Tourer coupe. It was offered with punchy V8 and V12 engines under the hood, pop-up headlamps and came with cutting-edge technology for its time. It was made until 1999 and then, BMW decided to temporarily shelve the 8-Series nameplate. However, they resurrected it 2019, and not just as a two-door, but also in four-door Gran Coupe form. That’s what we’ve got here, a 28,328-mile 2022 BMW 840i xDrive Gran Coupe from Fort Mill, South Carolina. This stylish midsize luxury car could be yours if you desire, as it’s an ideal daily driver.
