The market for SUVs really started to take off in the mid-2000s, and Mercedes-Benz did not want to be left out. They already had a formidable lineup of cars, as well as the M-Class, with the G-Class taking care of the ‘proper’ off-road segment. In 2006, they introduced their second SUV, the GL-Class which debuted at the 2006 North American International Auto Show and was their first full-size seven-seat SUV. The second generation entered in 2013 and was renamed GLS-Class during its 2016 facelift, as Mercedes-Benz wanted the model to represent ‘the S-Class of SUVs’. The third generation entered stage right in 2020, and here we are with this 2020 Mercedes-Benz GLS450 4MATIC in our inventory. It’s got 22,000 miles on the clock and comes from Texas, making it the ideal family car if you’re in the market for a German SUV.

The third generation was revealed to the public at the 2019 New York International Auto Show and launched a few months later. It was larger than the second-generation in length, width, and wheelbase. This 2020 Mercedes-Benz GLS450 4MATIC wears a subtle Designo Diamond White Metallic paintwork that will let you go about your business in an unobtrusive fashion. It rolls on a set of blacked-out five-spoke 21-inch Mercedes-Benz alloys wrapped in Michelin Primacy tires. The roof offers a panorama sunroof for enjoying those sunny days or starry skies. The Increased Towing Capacity with Trailer Hitch package is also installed. The interior is in Expresso Brown with Magma Gray leather and Natural Grain Brown Walnut Trim. Whilst the GLS-Class is commonly specced as a seven-seater, this one is specced in the rarer six-seat configuration that features two individual Captain’s Chairs in the second row. You could also fold the third row of seats, giving you a spacious four-seater with superb luggage space. All-season rubber floor mats are included for the occupants to place their feet on. The Convenience Package is installed, which adds four-zone climate control, heated and ventilated seats and powered side-window blinds. Heads-Up Display, Parktronic with active parking assist and the full Mercedes-Benz infotainment system with Apple Carplay are present as well, and your tunes will sound sublime through the Burmeister sound system.

This 2020 Mercedes-Benz GLS450 4MATIC packs the entry-level powertrain but don’t let that fool you, as its 3.0L (183ci) in-line six-cylinder biturbo engine puts out 362hp and 369lb.ft with the aid of the EQ-Boost 48V mild hybrid system. Drive is sent to all four wheels (hence the 4MATIC moniker) through a 9G-TRONIC nine-speed automatic transmission. Large, ventilated disc brakes all round ensure that the stopping power matches the go-factor, and height-adjustable air suspension is on board too.

Full-sized SUVs are all the rage in our country, so it’s nice that Mercedes-Benz has taken a crack at the segment with the GLS-Class range. Introduced for the 2019 model year, the GLS is the first Mercedes-Benz SUV to come with optional second-row captain chairs, an option which this 2022 Mercedes-Benz GLS450 4MATIC has got. Having covered just over 55,000 miles, this ideal family vehicle currently awaits a new owner in San Marcos, California. It’s got a long list of optional extras, including the Driver Assistance Package, Night Package, AMG Line Exterior Package and more. Grab it before it goes, quickly!

Drive your family around in luxury in the 2023 Mercedes-Benz GLS450. With three spacious rows of Captain Chairs, this SUV will surprise you and your passengers with its remarkable agility. While the ride can remain smooth when you want, engaging the Sport mode presents you with taut body control, a feature that even the Land Rover Range Rover does not possess. With a mere 8,300 miles on the clock, this 2023 Mercedes-Benz GLS450 is as good as brand-new.

Do you want a large luxury SUV that's a Mercedes-Benz? If so, you're in luck. The GLS-Class is the biggest SUV to come from the Stuttgart squad, and as you'd expect, it's suitably spacious. Arguably the most popular Mercedes-Benz model in the United States during the Seventies and Eighties, The R107 era of their SL-Class grand tourer saw over 204,000 units find homes. This was during an 18-year production run that spanned 1971 to 1989. Impressive as the figure may be for a luxury car, it’s even more admirable when you consider that just over 300,000 were made in total! In fact, more R107 SLs found homes Stateside than they did in Germany or anywhere else in the world. Today, there’s no shortage of fine examples, thanks to the car’s superb Mercedes-Benz build quality. Hence, this Texas-based 1988 Mercedes-Benz 560SL is a rather sensible purchase to make, even if you have no idea about classic cars. With its 5.6-liter V8, 4-speed automatic gearbox and aftermarket Kenwood stereo unit, it’s a sound choice. Don’t worry about the 142,000 miles on the odometer, these cars are built to go the distance if maintained well.

In 1971, Mercedes-Benz revealed the R107 generation of their popular SL-Class luxury grand tourer. It took over from the W113 ‘Pagoda’ which defined Sixties Mercedes-Benz two-door cars in Europe and North America. The R107 brought new design, updated engineering, and a removable hardtop as key features. It would be made until 1989, with 300,175 units produced during this time. Interestingly, over 204,000 of those units came to the United States, representing a 68% share of total production! Now, you can still find many of these cars running happily, because they were built during a time when planned obsolescence wasn’t even conceived of. That’s why they are the perfect starter classic, even for a younger person. Today’s 1976 Mercedes-Benz 450SL comes from Boulder and has a low 31,000 miles on the clock. With its 4.5-liter fuel-injected V8 and 3-speed automatic gearbox it’s already ticking the right boxes for a classic car. Add the Becker Mexico cassette stereo into the mix, and you’ve got a winner!

Do you want a mid-2000s German grand tourer with a stonking V12 under the hood, all the best creature comforts and luxury features of the time, and most importantly, a Star badge on the hood? It’s from the R230 era of Mercedes-Benz’s popular SL-Class line-up, and comes with twelve cylinders of German horsepower at your disposal.
