The story of this legendary Japanese sportscar began in 1979 when lead designer Akio Yoshida set out to create an affordable mid-engine sports car that would be fun to drive and pose an imminent threat to its exotic European rivals. The 2L turbocharged four-cylinder engine produces just over 200hp to the rear wheels.
