What happens when you take an already capable 5-series beamer and put an F1-inspired V10 in it? You get a hunk of German luxury that can literally burn roads and an M5 badge. This car was built for daring, sophisticated, and social people because the idea of a four-door sedan that can seat five and keep up with a Porsche GT3 is a little bit crazy, a little bit BMW. This beautiful example is yours to purchase and is currently located in Colorado.

This design of this car doesn’t really need an introduction. One of Chris Bangle’s first designs for BMW, the shape has aged gracefully. The interior is in mint condition, maintaining its sleek black finish and wooden accents on the dash, door, and center panels. The also car retains its original electrically adjustable leather seats.

This is where the M5 truly earns its respect. Under the hood is a 5-liter S85 V10 that pushes 500 hp at the push of a button. Restrain yourself, however, and the intake restricts itself to a casual supercar territory 400HP. This generation of the M5 also came with BMW’s 3rd generation of sequential manual gearbox that had torn a few pages off their Formula 1 build.

Forged from the desire to really make the Ultimate Driving Machine, the BMW M3 first appeared on BMW’s E30 generation of 3-Series, way back in 1986. Since then, every 3-Series, right up to the current G80 generation has had a corresponding M3. Throughout its life so far, the M3 has had four, six and eight-cylinder power. It’s enjoyed natural aspiration and forced induction. It’s been made in coupe, convertible, sedan and station wagon forms. But one thing has always remained true, its amazing enthusiast-pleasing driving manners. You see, the M3 isn’t about outright speed and power. It's never been about that. Instead, its about providing a package that’s engaging to drive and practical to live with. This G80-era 2023 BMW M3 Competition xDrive Sedan is living proof of that ethos.
