Overview of 1953 Ford F-100 Restomod For Sale by Owner

Ford’s famous F-Series pickup truck line came in 1948, and has continued ever since to be a sort of gold standard for American pickup trucks. Yes, there are alternatives from various GM brands, as well as myriad foreign automakers, but for many, an F-150 is the default, top-of-mind nameplate when searching for a half-ton pickup truck. This wasn’t always the case; when the first generation F-Series was introduced, the F-1 was the half-tonner. For 1953’s second generation, the F-1 became the F-100. Today, we have a rather nicely customized 1953 Ford F-100 Restomod for sale from Henderson, Nevada. This machine has done just 3,652 miles since rebirth of sorts, and packs a 350 V8 mated with a TH350 box. It’s also got a custom paint job and a lot of tasty aftermarket bits that will make you the talk of the town.

Exterior and Interior

This 1953 Ford F-100 Restomod’s custom paint job consists of a matte black body with a contrasting red grille area, as well as red aftermarket wheels with chrome half caps. The truck looks pretty cool as a result, with an aftermarket dual exhaust system not only allowing that potent V8 to rumble away, but presenting itself in the form of turn-out pipes. Meanwhile, there’s another showstopper behind the passenger compartment. This comprises the aftermarket oak bed which features a wooden floor and metal strips. The interior of this 1953 Ford F-100 Restomod is fully custom, with red and black seat upholstery. It’s been upgraded with Vintage Air heating and air conditioning, a tilt steering column linked to a power steering system and aftermarket steering wheel, an aftermarket headliner, aftermarket carpeting, and a set of new gauges sitting within a custom gauge pod.

Engine

This 1953 Ford F-100 Restomod comes with a 4-barrel carbureted 350ci V8. The engine is hooked up to a TH350 3-speed autobox and drives the rear wheels. It’s also got an aftermarket aluminum radiator, air cleaner and the aforementioned dual exhaust system. Looking further, we see that the electrical system has been converted to 12-volts, and there’s an aftermarket wiring harness in place too.
