Cadillac’s Series 62 range of cars is one of the most iconic designs of the 1950s. This generation of Series 62 came in a variety of body styles, including hardtop, sedan, and convertible variants. The convertible is perhaps one of the most sought-after configurations today, and for good reason. It makes a statement wherever you go and was adored by the rich and famous of the era. While these cars proved popular with the elite, finding an original condition example with low mileage would be a tough ask today. However, our featured car is just that, reported as mostly original and featuring an owner-reported mileage of just 27,000.

The design of the 1955 Cadillac Series 62 Convertibles was characterized by the jet age, with plenty of nods to the tech of the time featured in the styling. You got round “jet-style” exhausts, an inverted gullwing bumper, and pointed bumper extensions all making an appearance. Our featured car comes with an immaculate Gray exterior, which is presented in stunning quality thanks to the car being professionally repainted. The bodywork is further highlighted by the perfectly preserved chrome trim and bumpers, and all badges appear to be in pristine condition. You’ll also find the original wheels and white wall tires. You’ll notice the rear features the continental-style spare wheel placement on the back. Open the large trunk, and you’ll also find a spare wheel housed within. Like the paintwork, the interior has been painstakingly restored, with new upholstery reported. The black soft top retracts to reveal the interior, with a large dual-tone steering wheel, complete with a chrome horn ring. The dashboard houses a horizontal speedometer, as well as a period radio. You’ll even find an external spotlight that can be aimed from the interior.

Under the hood of this 1955 Cadillac Series 62 Convertible lies the car’s original running gear. It features a 331ci V8 that is reported to be original, along with the car’s original automatic transmission. Enhancing the value of this rare numbers-matching car is the low mileage, reported to be just 27,000 miles.
