Whilst the S-Class is the daddy of Mercedes-Benz full-size luxury cars, the Stuttgart-based automaker’s E-Class is a fine executive sedan that debuted in 1993 with the W124, although it can trace its origins all the way back to 1953. The second-generation W210 debuted in 1995 and cemented itself as one of the nameplate’s icons. Of course, Mercedes-Benz’ performance tuners AMG had their say on the performance models, and here’s one of their creations, a 2000 Mercedes-Benz E55 AMG from New Jersey with a healthy 101,110 miles under its belt. Most service records are available, and two keys are provided too.

The lines of the W210, penned by Bruno Sacco are considered one of Mercedes-Benz’ most iconic Nineties designs, with the signature quad headlamps and overall stately lines. This 2000 Mercedes-Benz E55 AMG wears a sleek silver paintwork and rolls on a set of 18-inch AMG alloy wheels shod in new 245/40ZR18 tires that reportedly have less than 100 miles on them. Unlike current AMG models, these models aren’t that much differentiated on the outside from non-AMG ones, making this car something of a sleeper, save for the discrete AMG badging. A sunroof and fog lamps are also specced. The black and gray interior is a quintessential Nineties time capsule. The original AM/FM radio with cassette player is present, as is the six-disc CD changer in the trunk. The original cell phone that came with the car is also included in the sale for authenticity. Other creature comforts include powered front seats, dual-zone climate control and multifunction steering wheel. AMG badging is present on the instrument cluster to remind you that this is not a regular W210 E-Class.

This 2000 Mercedes-Benz E55 AMG packs a 5.4L 90-degree V8 that puts out 349hp and 391lb-ft to the rear wheels via a five-speed 5G-TRONIC automatic transmission that can be manually shifted via the gear shifter. The performance figures are still respectable over twenty years later, with a zero-to-sixty sprint time of 5.4 seconds and a top speed limited at 155mph. What’s more delightful is that this old-school V8 sings a beautiful song as you take it up the rev range. Braking is via ventilated discs on all wheels. This car also comes with an aftermarket trickle charger to keep the battery topped up during long periods of inactivity, although we doubt you would want to keep this beauty inactive for too long.

The Mercedes-Benz E-Class is the quintessential executive sedan that many aspire to own. It strikes a perfect balance, providing an upgrade from smaller vehicles without venturing into the realm of larger, more imposing sedans. As a Mercedes-Benz, it embodies luxury, performance, and versatility. While the S-Class may offer even more opulence, the E-Class entices you to get behind the wheel while still delivering a comfortable rear-seat experience when needed. This is where the 2003 Mercedes-Benz E55 AMG comes into play. With less than 88,000 miles on the odometer, this vehicle showcases AMG's performance pedigree. It's not just about raw power but also about poised handling. Yet, it retains a docile side, perfect for family duties. In essence, it's a car with dual personalities – Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde – and you have the privilege of choosing which persona to embrace.

Let's revisit the Mercedes-Benz E-Class briefly. Originally introduced in 1993, with its origins tracing back to 1953, the E-Class represents Mercedes-Benz's offering in the mid-size luxury car segment. It's commonly available in sedan and station wagon variations, though the latter is less common in North America. As expected, AMG, Mercedes-Benz's high-performance division, occasionally puts its mark on the E-Class. The 2004 Mercedes-Benz E55 AMG we're discussing here is an example of AMG's touch on the W211 third-generation model. Notably, upon its release, the E55 AMG held the title of the world's fastest production sedan. Despite its current 151,000-mile mileage, with proper maintenance, this vehicle is poised to cover even greater distances. Moreover, beneath the hood, a few modifications have been made to enhance its power output. The current owner confirms that the sale includes two keys. Now, let's delve deeper into the details of this car.

The 2023 Mercedes-Benz E 450 Cabriolet represents one of the final and most refined iterations of the E-Class convertible, blending traditional open-top luxury with modern performance and technology. Powered by a 3.0L Turbocharged Inline-6 paired with Mercedes-Benz’s 9-Speed Automatic transmission and Mild-Hybrid Drive, the E 450 delivers smooth, effortless acceleration while maintaining the brand’s signature comfort-oriented driving character. Positioned above the standard E-Class models, the E 450 Cabriolet emphasizes grand touring refinement rather than outright sportiness, making it particularly well-suited for long-distance cruising and relaxed open-air driving.

Rebranding one's purpose is a tough task; it requires changing everything you know and then hoping that your target market will like it. Mercedes-Benz pulled off a rebranding that gave rise to its longest-running nameplate and the chosen machine for those who want to make a statement. Present today is this 2013 Mercedes-Benz G 550. It's your way to make a statement in luxury and style. Better yet, this example has just over 120,000 miles on its clock.

Never has a Continental car had more impact in North America than the R107 era of the Mercedes-Benz SL. Of the 300,000 plus examples made between 1971 and 1989, over two thirds came across to our continent! That’s amazing, but what’s even more amazing is that the car continues to captivate hearts across the States. It’s not unheard of for someone to pick an R107 SL as their first classic car – and some of these people weren’t even born when the R107 ended production. Heck, many of them were born after the turn of the Millenium! So, whether you’re a Boomer, Gen X, Gen Y or Millenial, you might like to take custody of this 1987 Mercedes-Benz 560SL from Sacramento. This Cali-based car has driven over 148,000 miles so far and comes with Giovanni wheels, an Alpine head unit, and of course, a 5.6-liter V8 under the hood.
