Overview of 1972 Chevrolet Blazer CST Cheyenne For Sale by Owner

The original Chevrolet Blazer was GM’s effort at competing with Jeep, Ford, and International Harvester’s off-road offerings. The two-door, short wheel based Blazer K5 was a fun alternative to the more utility-based, no-frills offerings of the time and soon saw sales success. Added to that was the advantage of a fully removable top for a unique open-air experience. Our subject car is a fully-restored 1972 Chevrolet Blazer CST Cheyenne, modified to not only look the part but, with a 5.3-liter LS motor, keep up with the best of them. This lovingly-refreshed Blazer has been restored with many period-correct items as well as a few subtle additions to enhance usability.

Exterior and Interior

With new paint, in Moonwalk Grey, this 1972 Chevrolet Blazer CST Cheyenne looks the part. Seemingly, no expense has been spared, with new exterior trim, chrome grille, and chrome bumpers all completing the freshly restored exterior. Bringing this Blazer K5 into the 21st century are upgraded LED lights, while the chrome wheels are shod in Goodyear Wrangler rubber. The interior has been comprehensively refreshed, with new saddle brown upholstery, new carpet, and a new air-conditioning system from Vintage Air. The instrumentation has been upgraded with some beautiful retro-inspired units from Dakota Digital. Also modernized is the custom stereo set-up, including a convenient addition of a back-up camera. This Blazer also features power windows and power steering.

Engine

You’ll find a 5.3-liter LS motor for a trusted blend of dependable power with modern output figures under the hood. This Chevy Blazer features touches such as power brakes and four-wheel discs. The juice needed to power the added ancillaries comes from a newly-fitted Optima battery, while along with power steering, this thoroughly-restored off-roader features new shocks along with a fresh steering stabilizer.

Formerly called the Chevy K5 Blazer, this full-size two-door SUV was made from 1969 all the way to 1994. In 1992, it dropped the K5 moniker, which is why this 1993 Chevrolet Blazer doesn’t have it in its name. This 150,000-mile two-door SUV comes to you in red with a gray interior and a 350ci V8 under the hood. Currently available in San Antonio, Texas, it’s from the GMT400 third-generation series. Service records plus two keys are included with the sale of this one owner vehicle. Hence, it’s perfect for someone seeking a classic but relatively modern four by four that can easily venture off-road at will.
