Overview of 1984 Nissan 300ZX Turbo Anniversary Edition For Sale by Owner

Classic Japanese cars have a certain appeal to them, which is very different from classic North American or European cars. And as such one of the memorable cars to drop onto the shores of North America were the Nissan or Datsun Z-cars. These sports cars which were produced by Nissan since 1969 and under seven generations have captivated their audiences with their power and handling. The first generation 300ZX is the third from the Z-car lineup. It was produced from 1983 to 1989. 1985 saw over 70,000 units being sold in North America, proving its popularity and success away from mainland Japan. A chance to own of these beauties comes in the form of a 1984 Nissan 300ZX Turbo 50th Anniversary Edition, with just 31,000 miles on the clock and available to be seen in the Sooner State, Oklahoma.

Exterior and Interior

This 1984 Nissan 300ZX Turbo 50th Anniversary Edition is finished off in a two-toned color, a combination of Light Pewter Metallic paint and black with the “turbo” lettering on the side skirts, and is reported to be the original paint. The front of the car ends in a tapered design with dual pop-up headlights, and the “Z” logo smack in the middle. On the right side of the hood is the iconic offset hood scoop. Considering that this is a 3-door coupe, the rear abruptly ends and is host to the rear duck-lip style spoiler. Part of the 50th Anniversary edition is the addition of the rear fender flares, front fender flares, and the 50th AE logo badge on the driver's side front fender. The interior is also treated to a special design that features a digital dash, and ancillary gauges like the average mileage, G-force, and compass readouts, which are not available on the regular 300ZX. It is reported that the Bodysonic speakers located in the seats work better than when new. It is also reported that all the electronics, and gauges are in functioning order and that all parts are original with receipts and documentation provided too.

Engine

This 1984 Nissan 300ZX Turbo 50th Anniversary Edition is powered by a 3.0L V6 engine with a Garrett T3 turbocharger. All-wheel disc brakes assure ample stopping power to match the turbocharged horses that emanate forth. 0-60 mph is clocked in at 6.7 seconds with a top speed of 151 mph. The anniversary edition also comes with in-car adjustable shocks and self-adjusting hydraulic valve lifters.
