Overview of 1962 Chevrolet Impala Sport Coupe Restomod For Sale by Owner

The Chevy Impala is a full-size car that was available all the way up to 2020. Along the way, ten generations have been produced, and the Impala is a cult favorite. This 1962 Chevrolet Impala Sport Coupe is a fine third-generation variant that's been tastefully turned into a restomod. With just 400 miles after a comprehensive rebuild and new Skip White 427ci V8, it's ready to rumble.

Exterior and Interior

This 1962 Chevrolet Impala Coupe has received a Fire Red Pearl and White paint job that looks absolutely stunning. However, the Asanti wheels are what really steal the show. Measuring 20 inches at the front and a truly prominent 22 inches at the rear, these chromed units host low-profile tires. There's a cowl induction hood and a side exit dual exhaust as well. Inside, there's a red and black-themed cabin with leather-trimmed seats. The front seats are bucket-style units, while the rear passengers lounge on a comfortable bench. New white-faced gauges face a custom three-spoke steering wheel and a custom ratchet gear shifter. There's reportedly heating but no air conditioning. A custom stereo has been installed, with a push-button head unit and aftermarket speakers for your musical enjoyment. There's also a control panel in the cabin for the Air Ride air suspension system. The trunk hosts the Air Ride tank and control components, as well as the battery.

Engine

This 1962 Chevrolet Impala Coupe has received a new Skip White 427ci V8 to ensure that it goes as well as it looks. The new engine boasts just 400 miles on it and drives the rear wheels via a Turbo-Hydramatic THM-400 automatic transmission. Electric fans and an aluminum radiator keep the new powerplant running cool. It also received aluminum headers, heads, and a high-rise aluminum intake manifold. There's an engine dress-up kit as well. Line lock has been fitted, as has the aforementioned Air Ride air suspension system, for optimal ride comfort and height adjustment. All these modifications and enhancements ensure that this 1962 Chevrolet Impala Coupe is ready for the next few decades.

Chevy’s fine Impala is a well-known 60s classic, but did you know that they actually made them until 2020? Yes, the Impala saw ten generations of production, and this Dark Cherry Metallic 1996 Chevrolet Impala SS is a fine sample from the seventh generation. This iteration was only made between 1994 and 1996, with fewer than 70,000 units produced. It came with only one engine choice, the 350ci LT1 V8, mated to a 4-speed automatic gearbox. On the inside, this car features a spacious gray passenger cabin that’s a veritable 90s time capsule, while outside, it’s gained a set of silver aftermarket alloy wheels with low-profile tires for a sort of restomod vibe. If you’re tempted, this car is up for grabs in Southington, Connecticut, with just 15,000 miles on the odometer.

Few Corvettes command attention quite like a mid-year C2 Sting Ray, and this 1966 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible presents an especially intriguing blend of factory styling and high-performance upgrades. Showing approximately 39,045 miles, this iconic American sports car is finished in timeless Tuxedo Black over a Saddle vinyl interior, creating one of the most desirable color combinations available during the era. While originally produced during the golden age of big-block Corvettes, the current owner reports that the car now houses a legendary L88-spec 427ci V8 engine, elevating its performance pedigree even further. Additional highlights include a body-colored removable hardtop, factory teak wood steering wheel, Mako-inspired six-tail-light conversion, and included accessories such as a car cover, roof stand, original hardtop, and original convertible top.

$29,999

By 1992, Chevrolet had transformed the C4 Corvette into a thoroughly modern American sports car, and the introduction of the LT1 V8 marked one of the most significant upgrades in the model’s history. This Bright Red example is particularly special because it has traveled just 8,456 miles from new, placing it among the lowest-mileage C4 Corvettes on the market today. Finished in a striking red-on-red color combination and equipped with the desirable LT1 powertrain, removable roof panel, and iconic sawblade wheels, this Corvette presents an opportunity to own a remarkably preserved example of Chevrolet’s flagship performance car from the early 1990s.

1969 Chevrolet Camaro Convertible Restomod LS3

Current Ask
VERIFIED SELLER
$144,999

While many first-generation Camaros rely on simple engine swaps and cosmetic upgrades, this 1969 Chevrolet Camaro Convertible Restomod was built with a far more comprehensive vision. Beyond its GM Performance LS3 powerplant and Tremec 6-speed manual transmission, this Camaro benefits from an extensive Chris Alston Chassisworks transformation that modernizes nearly every aspect of the driving experience. Finished in Imperial Blue Metallic with gray stripes and complemented by a custom blue and gray interior, it combines the unmistakable style of Chevrolet’s most desirable Camaro generation with the handling, braking, comfort, and reliability expected from a contemporary performance car. With its true mileage unknown, this Camaro stands apart as a professionally engineered restomod rather than simply a restored classic, offering a level of refinement rarely found among vintage muscle car convertibles.
