Well regarded as one of the most fearsome muscle cars of the ʼ60s, a classic Pontiac GTO is a highly desirable automobile these days. You’ll find previous owners, those who have aspired to own one, and those who weren’t even conceived during its heyday all lusting for a GTO. That’s because the GTO has cemented a reputation as being a giant-killer. This particular 1968 Pontiac GTO Restomod is one pleasant way to honor the GTO’s legacy, as it’s true to the original in many ways, but also packs some neat performance enhancements to make it drive even sweeter. The car comes to you from Swarthmore, Pennsylvania, having covered 89,695 miles so far.
Dressed in Verdoro Green, this 1968 Pontiac GTO Restomod rocks a vinyl-covered roof, as was a popular style statement of the ʼ60s. The current owner says that the car rocks new Rally II wheels with center caps, including the spare wheel, and wears new Cooper Cobra tires. It’s also got an Endura front bumper and of course, those distinctive hidden headlamps that are revealed by motorized covers that slide out of the way when the headlamps need to shine bright in the darkness of the night. The interior of this 1968 Pontiac GTO Restomod comes in black, with seating for four occupants and sports a wood-rimmed steering wheel. Look out of the windshield over the steering wheel and gauge cluster and another quirky option of the day becomes apparent – the external, hood-mounted tachometer! This car also has got a push-button radio and a climate control system, although we’re not informed of its functionality.
Powered by a monstrous 400ci V8, this 1968 Pontiac GTO gets even more pep, thanks to an Edelbrock 750 carburetor and electric choke. Then, the current owner tells us that the car has got a new master cylinder, new power brake booster, new spark plugs, new valve cover gaskets, new ignition wires, new belts and hoses, new seals, new hood hinges and a new battery. Power goes to the rear wheels via an automatic gearbox and a 3.23 positraction rear end. The car also sports new brake shoes and new rear shocks.

Pontiac’s Firebird is one of the most iconic pony cars. Made across four generations between 1967 and 2002, the Firebird was the Camaro’s sister car. The similarities weren’t just visual; they were basically the same under the skin as well. The second-generation Firebird really made a name for itself through its screen presence on Smokey and the Bandit. The car used for the movie was a 1977 Firebird Trans Am, so if you’re a fan of the film, here’s a 1977 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am for sale right now. This car comes with an upgraded engine and upgraded suspension as well. Just don’t try to jump it; many of the movie's stunt cars didn’t survive the experience.

Ford has the Mustang, and Chevrolet had the Camaro. Back in the ’60s, it was a winning duo for consumers, with the two frontrunners in the pony car race battling on both backroads and race tracks. Our featured 1968 Chevrolet Camaro is a fine specimen just waiting to go to a new home. It features a striking blue exterior, a well-kept black interior, and a 383ci stroker V8 under the hood. This immaculate classic has reportedly been subject to a recent motor and transmission install, which means it should offer a trouble-free ownership experience to whoever is lucky enough to take possession next.
The first generation Ford Mustang was made from 1964 (known as 1964½, until 1973. Over 1.2 million units were made, so getting your hands on one isn’t as hard as you might think. However, finding an immaculately restored example is much harder. Thankfully, we’ve got a 1969 Ford Mustang Convertible Restoration for sale. This 66,161-mile car has been given a thorough do-over by Fantomworks as reported by the current owner. Now, the car sits peacefully in Leesville, South Carolina, waiting for its new owner to pick it up and cherish it.
One of the rarest Mustang generations of the first "1964.5" original run of cars. In many ways, this was genesis for an entire category of car, with a model name and legacy that lives on to this day. This early production pony car captured the spirit of American performance and personal freedom, setting the stage for a legacy that continues today. Our featured 1964.5 Ford Mustang Convertible has undergone a comprehensive four-year restoration, reportedly with over $130,000 invested, bringing it back to a factory-correct yet refined state. With a rebuilt original 289ci V8 engine, automatic transmission, and a host of meticulously restored components, this Mustang is a true classic that exudes both style and performance.
