The 1969 Pontiac GTO Coupe defined this golden era. Exterior and Interior

The second-generation Pontiac GTO's exterior is characterized by its quad headlight array, split grille design, and long hood. This 1969 example is finished in a stunning shade of blue and features a new vinyl top. It sits on 14-inch wheels wrapped in white-lettered Cooper Cobra Radial tires that are reportedly new. Moving inside, you’ll find an interior that is kept in original condition, with blue cloth seats. The steering wheel is a three-spoke item with the Pontiac logo in its center. The center of the dash features controls for HVAC and a period-appearing auto-reverse tape deck.

Engine

The 1969 Pontiac GTO Coupe’s engine is undoubtedly one of the highlights of any example, with a potent 400 ci (6.6-liter) V8 motor under the hood. Our featured car takes things to the next level with a freshly rebuilt engine. The owner reports that the engine has less than 100 miles on it and has just undergone a recent oil change. Power is sent to the rear wheels via an original M40 Turbo 400 3-speed automatic transmission. Other new elements to this build include a new gas tank and new brakes.
