Overview of 1987 Chevrolet K20 Scottsdale For Sale by Owner

Chevy’s C/K Series is what gave rise to the Silverado of today. Introduced in 1960, the C/K carried on for four generations until 2002, when the name was changed to Silverado and things continued as we know them to be. Across America and some other parts of the world, the C/K Series carved out a name for itself as being the definitive American pickup truck; tough, capable and no-nonsense. Today’s third-generation 1987 Chevrolet K20 is a little different, because it’s received a host of modifications and enhancements to make it truly unique, while preserving its exterior outlook to a great deal. With over 27,000 miles to its name, and sporting various chromed engine components, this truck is available in Powell, Ohio.

Exterior and Interior

Coated in a nice shade of blue, this 1987 Chevrolet K20 sits tall thanks to its Rancho shocks, aluminum wheels and off-road tires. The exterior features stainless steel bed caps, a tonneau cover, a sliding rear window, and even a dual exhaust system. You’ve also got a dual exhaust system to ensure that the V8’s throaty roar is well-heard. The interior of this 1987 Chevrolet K20 comes with features such as a Vision stereo with USB and AUX inputs, a tilt steering wheel, black carpeting and a single bench seat. Yes, up to three adults can travel, but two is more comfortable. You’ve got cruise control, an interior hood release, tinted windows and some added gauges as well. These include a voltmeter, temperature gauge and oil pressure gauge. A duo of speakers sits behind the seats as well. Gazing upwards, you’ll see the American flag flying proud!

Engine

This 1987 Chevrolet K20 has got a 350ci V8 with a host of enhancements. These include a MSD distributor, chrome fuel pump, chrome pulleys, ceramic coated headers, chrome valve covers, an Edelbrock 4-barrel carburetor, Mr. Gasket fuel pressure gauge, chrome timing chain cover, throttle spacers and more. Power is sent to all four wheels through an automatic transmission. You’ve also got lockout hubs and a Skyjacker Hydro 7000 shock and steering stabilizer set-up. Yup, this truck is off-road ready from the moment you receive the keys!

VERIFIED SELLER
SOLD

The Chevy C/K series is the forerunner of today’s Silverado, and if you’ve read the title of this particular example on sale, you’ll glean that Silverado was once a trim level. A bit more research reveals that this 1979 Chevrolet K20 Silverado Long Bed Pickup is a third-generation truck, and the K in its name means that it packs four-wheel drive! It’s also got a massive 454ci V8 under the hood, satiated by dual Edelbrock 4-barrel carburetors! All that, a reupholstered interior and a relatively low 72,764 mile odometer reading make this a nice classic truck to purchase and drive. It’s currently up for sale in Attica, Michigan.
