It is highly sought after for its iconic styling and engaging driving experience. Completing the exterior while keeping it period correct are 17-inch BBS wheels wrapped in new tires. The interior of this example has been retained flawlessly over the years with the black leather and plastics restored tastefully. While the originality has been kept throughout the car both inside and out, the audio system is brought up to date with a Kenwood head unit and aftermarket Morel speakers, amplifier, and subwoofer.
Powering this 1989 BMW 635 CSi is a 3.5L straight six producing 208 HP. Being a grand tourer, this example has been optioned with the 4-speed automatic gearbox, providing seamless and worry-free driving on long trips. As you press your foot down, the newly installed exhaust system and muffler will grant you an incredible exhaust note. During the restoration, new filters, DME, sensors, distributor cap, and rotors were fitted to refresh the engine. Furthermore, the suspension has been renewed with new front control arms, thrust arm bushings, rear dog bone bushings, sway bar and end links, and steering shaft. BMW's approach towards its car designs is iconic, to say the least. While not grand or flashy, the Bavarian luxury vehicle manufacturers' cars are instantly recognizable. The BMW 6 Series was introduced as a grand tourer that replaced the outgoing BMW E9, from which the legendary BMW 3.0 CSL was also hatched. The 6 Series was offered from 1979 to 1989, and after a hiatus of 14 years, the model was reintroduced back in 2003. To date, the BMW 6 Series has been offered in four generations, with each retaining its signature of luxury, comfort, and pure German performance. A chance to own a rare car is right here, in the form of this 1989 BMW 635CSi with just 106,500 miles on the bullet-proof engine.
