Built for the people who can't get enough of over-engineered vehicles, this AM General Hummer H1 Custom from 1992 takes the beloved American Military vehicle and puts it on the road for the everyday civilian to drive and enjoy it. As reported by the current owner, all the restoration work has been done by American Humvee in Mundelein, Illinois. This massive behemoth of a vehicle can withstand anything that everyday life could throw at it and bulldoze over it. This custom built Hummer comes with a selection of amenities to add a bit of restoration and sophistication over the barebones, and utilitarian design of this military-derived vehicle. Included in the build is a brand new A/C with the radiator relocated to the rear wheel well, 1000lbs of sound insulation inside and out, rebuilt resto-mod firewall with added thickness and protection layered over the original. With 23,000 miles reported on the clock, perhaps you are exactly the person that could take this Hummer H1 home.

Very little can be said about this Hummer H1 without first understanding its size. This is a massive vehicle in all ways you can consider, featuring a Dark Gray exterior that is somewhat civilianized but is very much a military vehicle through and through, the sizeable utilitarian design that gives very little attention to aesthetics being a testament to that, which appeals to a lot of people. This particular Hummer H1 also features ballistic windshields, and new Yokohama 40" tires, which wrap around 17" Black Rhino wheels. Stepping inside, some of the creature comforts that have been added to the massive beige interior cabin include ApplePlay with a Focal component sound system using dedicated speaker amps, with the subwoofer control wired to the dash, as reported by the current owner. You'll notice that the massive interior can fit eight passengers without an issue, and the seats are spacious and comfortable for all.

You need a lot of power to propel such a massive vehicle enough to brave the battlefield, which is why this Hummer H1 comes equipped with a 22,000 mile 2002 6.5L turbo diesel V8 mated to six-speed 6L80-E automatic transmission that's reported to have only 2,000 miles on the gearbox by the current owner. Additional features as reported by the current owner also include a custom high-flow air cleaner, Shepherd steering system and Wilwood Brakes to help provide smooth power delivery and steering with enough stopping power for this massive vehicle.

The Humvee is the most popular American military vehicle in the world. Wherever we have a military presence, you can find Humvees doing duty transporting troops and hardware around. Whether it’s for peaceful base patrol or in the heat of an active war zone, the Humvee can tackle it with ease. Once Humvees retire from active duty, many of them end up for purchase on the civilian market. This 1992 AM General Humvee is one such example. It’s got 104,000 miles on the clock and is available in San Benito, Texas. With its 6.5-liter V8, automatic gearbox and Camo Green outlook, this historic machine is perfect for a collector.

The first Hummer, the H1 was a gargantuan beast released in 1992. It was the result of AM General’s desire to produce a civilian variant of their tough military Humvee, spurred on in no small part by a request from Arnold Schwarzenegger. The Terminator had encountered Humvees during his silver screen adventures and thought they would be a fine SUV for those who dared to think different. One does not simply refuse a request from The Terminator, and AM General saw the potential new market it could offer too. These days, finding an H1 isn’t hard, but it’s not a walk in the park either. Thankfully, we have this 96,579-mile 1995 AM General Hummer H1 for sale from Boston. The vehicle has a 350ci V8, an automatic gearbox, aftermarket wheels and all those cool things that the H1 is famous for.

What we know today as the Hummer stems from a battle-hardened military machine with deep roots in warfare utility. Often mistaken for its civilian offspring, the original military-spec Humvee and its civilian counterpart are distinct, yet inherently linked. The AM General Hummer, derived from the M998 Humvee, was built for rugged terrain and uncompromising performance. Weighing in at approximately 6,860 pounds, this formidable 4x4 came with two engine choices and boasted the ability to scale 18-inch vertical obstacles, handle 60% grade climbs, and traverse 40% side slopes. It’s no surprise that these machines are revered in the off-roading world. Customized examples like this 1998 AM General Hummer Wagon elevate the platform even further, equipped with the most potent factory engine option. Located in St. Marys, Georgia, this exceptional vehicle is trail-ready and waiting to become the centerpiece of your collection.

Forget Hummer H1s, what if you want a good, proper military vehicle to proudly park in your driveway and take around town? Even if you had an HOA, they wouldn’t dare come and tell you not to park it on your own property! That, and much more is what you can enjoy with this 2010 AM General Humvee M1123 Troop Carrier from Houston. With a mere 256 miles on the clock, this proper military machine rocks a Green Camo paint job, black vinyl seats, LED headlamps and more. The current owner says that the condenser is not currently installed, but included with the sale of this vehicle.

Now here’s a machine that will strike fear into the hearts of all those who encounter it! This 1984 AM General M936 5-Ton 6x6 Military Wrecker is a massive military machine that’s been somewhat civilianized after its retirement from the forces. Now, it’s up for grabs in Calhoun, Georgia, with a stonking Cummins 14-liter straight six diesel engine, an Allison 5-speed automatic transmission, dual winches, and a 5,500-pound crane, no less! Yes, this is a piece of battlefield hardware that can be used for myriad purposes in daily life, and we’d suggest using it to help people out, or for business purposes. Either way, with 30,945 miles on the clock, this ex-Military truck is a fine catch to net.
