Did you know that the Z3 was the first car that BMW built solely outside of Germany and was only built in North Carolina? Introduced in 1996, the BMW Z3 lineup consisted of quite a few versions and even an M model. They offer great engine choices, superb steering and brakes, and reasonable prices. The BMW Z3 Convertible has such an outstanding design language that it was Pierce Brosnan's car in 007 GoldenEye. Our featured car is a 1999 BMW Z3 Convertible from New York which has covered 208,000 miles.
Exterior and Interior
When spring is around the corner, a convertible Z3 will serve you well. The Z3 was available in several flavors, from mild to wild. The 1999 model year saw BMW give the Z3 a refresh, including a significant upgrade using a wider rear track. Before, this trait was reserved for the higher-performance 2.8-liter trim. It provides the car with a much better aesthetic in addition to achieving that sports car look. Our subject car is adorned in British Racing Green and is topped with a beige convertible soft top. 16-inch wheels are shod in new BFGoodrich tires, and they are equipped with new front & rear disc brakes. Inside the beige interior of this Z3, you get a classic four-pod gauge cluster, heated seats, wood trim on the center console, and a Kenwood radio. A power-assisted rack-and-pinion steering system offers convenience when maneuvering.
Engine
Under the long hood, this 1999 BMW Z3 Convertible has a 2.5L I6 engine married to a 4-speed automatic transmission.
