To rectify this, the American performance manufacturer Saleen Inc introduced the Ford Mustang Saleen S281 3V, based on a 2005 Ford Mustang. The Saleen designation on this 2005 Ford Mustang Saleen S281 3V is not just the mechanical aspects of it. In fact, this Mustang Saleen boasts an uber-brilliant Performance White Clearcoat finish. Saleen does a complete overhaul of the Mustangs body which includes a custom front fascia that boasts a clean design with the Saleen badge on the custom black-painted grille along with the custom turn signals. The sides feature a custom side skirt with minimalistic Saleen decals and Saleen badging. A major change from the stock Mustang is the rear, where it uses center-located rectangular dual exhaust tips reminiscent of the McLaren F1 and of course, the Saleen decals on the bumper. It sits on a set of white painted 7-spoke wheels with chrome Saleen centers. The interior is finished in a contrasting Dark Charcoal with leather appointments.
