Background Story of this 1976 Ford Bronco

Overview of 1976 Ford Bronco For Sale by Owner

The Bronco is widely recognized as a trailblazer in the American SUV scene, and many consider it to be the first true American SUV. First conceptualized by Donald N. Frey, the same man who came up with the Mustang, the Bronco debuted in 1966 and would go on until 1996. Then, it took a twenty-five-year break before breaking ground with the sixth generation in 2021. What better way to celebrate such an icon, then, than by purchasing this 1976 Ford Bronco that's been restored and bears just 2,000 miles on its wheels? Go on, you know you want to.

Exterior and Interior

Showing off its classic lines with an eye-catching yellow, this 1976 Ford Bronco looks amazing. Rolling on new wheels with new BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A tires for optimal off-road prowess, it's been lovingly taken care of, as evidenced by its straight body and clear lamp lenses. This 1976 Ford Bronco even showcases those swish side exhausts that will emit a lovely V8 burble once underway. Inside, there's a lovely period interior, which is reportedly new. You've got some yellow and black seats, black vinyl trim on the door cards, wood trim, and a comprehensive set of instrumentation for the driver. The audio system has received an upgrade courtesy of a retro-modern head unit, some new speakers and a Kicker sub. Looking further, we also spot a ventilation system and Ford-branded floor mats. Behind the rear seat lies a suitably-sized luggage area, although you might want to move that Kicker subwoofer first, with its exposed speaker cone. We also see an aftermarket center console with cupholders between the two front seats.

Engine

This 1976 Ford Bronco is powered by a stroked 335ci V8 that originally derived from a 302ci V8 that burbles its way to the wheels via a three-speed manual transmission. The gearshift is actually located on the steering column, with the lever for the 2WD/4WD transfer case coming out of the floor between the driver and the front passenger.

There’s nothing like cruising around in a classic first-generation Ford Mustang. Anything made between 1964 and 1973 will do, really. Of course, many will lust for the fastback, while drop-top fans will head straight for the convertible. Meanwhile, those who want something a little cooler will prefer the hardtop. That’s what we have here, a nearly pristine 1966 Ford Mustang Hardtop that’s been repainted in Candy Apple Red and packs a 289ci V8 under the hood. This 2,727-mile machine could be yours if you choose – just give us a call or DM, or check it out in person – it currently resides in Maricopa, Arizona.

1985 Jeep CJ-7

Current Ask
VERIFIED SELLER
PENDING SALE
$21,999

The original Military Jeep by Willys-Overland morphed into the Jeep CJ series by 1944, and the Jeep brand as we know it was born. Produced until 1986, the CJ subsequently became the Wrangler, and you can definitely see the resemblance between the two models. Interestingly, the CJ was born out of a need to stay commercially relevant. With World War II coming to an end, Willys-Overland knew that the military would no longer need Jeeps in the massive numbers that they were consuming them during wartime. A military Jeep in a battlefield would have a lifespan of weeks or, at best, months – not years and decades. So, they came up with the CJ or Civilian Jeep, targeted primarily at the agricultural sector but in no time, other segments and enthusiastic off-roaders were snapping them up as well. The CJ went through many upgrades and iterations, with the CJ-7 ruling the Jeep roost between 1976 and 1986. Today, we’ve got a Kansas-based 1985 Jeep CJ-7 for sale. This vehicle has received a comprehensive makeover and packs under 5,000 miles since then. Highlights include a custom fiberglass body, a reupholstered interior, an aftermarket audio player and so much more.
