This build goes far beyond cosmetic modification. The F31 Touring chassis was never offered in the United States as an F80 M3 wagon, making this “F81 M3 Touring Tribute” a conceptual recreation of what BMW enthusiasts have long wanted: an M3-powered long-roof. Starting life as a 328i xDrive, the car has been transformed mechanically and visually to reflect M3 Competition character, combining practicality with serious performance intent. With over 61,000 miles, it reflects a properly used and developed enthusiast project rather than a static showpiece.
Designed by Pinky Lai, the E36-generation BMW 3 Series remains one of the most timeless and balanced designs of the 1990s. This 1998 BMW 328i Convertible showcases that elegance beautifully in its Morea Green Metallic exterior, perfectly complemented by a Sand leather interior that adds warmth and sophistication. The sleek proportions, neatly integrated kidney grilles, and refined simplicity give it a distinctly modern charm even decades later. With its black convertible top, the car maintains a sharp contrast that looks equally appealing whether raised or lowered. Inside, it’s equipped with classic BMW amenities of the era, including dual-zone automatic climate control, air conditioning, a cassette radio, an on-board trip computer, power windows, cruise control, and heated front seats—all contributing to an authentic and comfortable driving experience.
